Q:a friend of mine has a 2002 dodge grand caravan sport and the mechanic told him the part cost about $400. is that right?
thats a ridiculous buy. why would you want to buy a harness for a car. the car should have come with one already. i cant believe it was missing from the car. im surprised it ran. id take it back to the dealer and have them put one in for free. unless your buying it as a gift for someone to open or a stocking stuffer but i dont think the reciever of that gift would appreciate its value. good luck
Q:I have a Kicker Bass station pt10 I purchased off of OKorder. The wiring harness has been cut off(1-2ft) Is there anyway I can splice a wiring kit from bestbuy or walmart to the harness?
see if you can contact the maker on the web
Q:i wanna get a Jensen VM9214 Single DIN MultiMedia Receiver with 7-Inch Flip out Touch Screen but idk whether to get a wiring harness for it cause idk if it has one or not???
Each car has its own wire harness created for it on a custom-made basis. The harness essentially connects two types of essential things between electronics and the car itself. If you can not find the correct replacement part and you are technically knowledgeable, you may be able to recreate one yourself or purchase one that can me made to fit your specific year and model of car. If not, a trusted mechanic can handle it plus you will be confident that the wiring portion of your vehicle is correct. If your engine is not wired correctly you may have continual problems that will drive up the costs of car ownership quickly.
Q:i think i found the reason why it melted the wires. my windsheild wipers never did work on anything but high since ive had the car so i think it was a bad wiper motor that over heated the wires then they all melted together.
If you do splice the wires, you will do better if you solder the wire ends and use a shrink cover, which is a piece you slip over the soldered area and heat to shrink it to the wire. If you use wire connectors they can vibrate and the wire will break at the connection, and sometimes they get a corrosion inside them because most are a small aluminum sleeve that you crimp and they break also. If you are replacing the melted wire be sure you use the same size or guage wire for the splice.
Q:i changed the motor in my saturn and cant remember which wire goes where also shor cuts for reconnecting everything
This may sound like a daunting problem but don't be afraid it is not that bad.Wiring looms are very well engineered and they make an effort to make them idiot proof. Just lay out the wire bundles as close to where they belong as you can remember the connectors will be somewhere near the components they belong to. The ends of the connectors are all different you usually cannot plug them into the incorrect part just keep plugging them in until you run out of connectors. There may be one or two you cant figure out but their function will usually become obvious when you try to start car and something doesn't work or a light comes on. Good luck.
Q:I need help with the red and yellow wires. Hooked everything up color to color, but my stereo didn't work just when I push eject on the cd player but nothing else. And then I hooked up all of the red, and the yellow wires, and that made it work, but the radio has to be turned on and off manually. It won't work together when I turn off /on the ignition, and acc positions. What am I doing wrong? I would love for some one to give me a detailed description or layout of the wires that should go together I have a 2002 chevy impala with inactive onstar I have the wire harness and the antenna adapter I do have an amp I'm pretty sure it's that silver box next to the speakers in the roof of the trunk. Please help
did you get a after market wiring harness for your car it is easier to hook up
Q:I'll be heading to my local Toyota dealership tomorrow in search for a replacement for the original stereo wiring harness into my factory stereo (1999 Sienna). How much should I expect this to cost? I would just buy one on amazon or OKorder, but they're all 10-pin harnesses and for some reason my original is a 15-pin, which I fear is discontinued because NO ONE seems to have them.
It's okorder
Q:I need to buy a new wiring harness for a Sendai car stereo (CD889)i cant find one ANYWHERE!!however, looking through OKorder, i noticed someone selling a wiring harness for a Sendai/Ripspeed/Sonichi or somethingjust wondering if anyone knows whether the Ripspeed wiring harness will fit into the car stereo?Any online shops anyone knows of, or anything would help. Q:I have a Sony CDX-71W Radio, I'm have trouble with the back speaker in my car, its not blown, its just not getting power to the speaker. I need to know what colored wire in the back of the radio gives power to the back right speaker, if your looking at the car from the rear of the car. I tested it with a multimeter and I'm not getting any readings at all. Anyone know where I can find a diagram for free on what each wire does, or know what each colored wires do what?
yeah
Q:i need to know how to find the connector from the wiring harness to the transmission speed sensor! The mechanic i had working on it forgot to hook it up and now everything is hooked up except for that! The transmission and the engine are all hookes up and i can't find the sensor hookup at the harness!!
There will be a whole set of different plug in harness connectors via the wall by the windshield or in that area by the TCM.One of those is the set of sensor wires that runs off of it.Again I'am not sure exactly but regardless if you trace the transmission wiring harness you'll find where the wires should be coming from for those sensors Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way it should have two plugs on it by the transmission.
