Q:Can you put fiberglass insulation on the under side of roof tiles in the loft in the house?
You should not be able to see your roof tiles from inside your house. So no, it can not be done. You can attach insulation to the rafters if that is what you meant.
Q:I would like to ask under the gas access point position
Modified poly clam is made of high-pressure flame retardant liquid to the benzene plate, heating and drying to form a solid to stay in the benzene plate, to achieve the effect of weight loss and flame retardant. Does not affect the physical properties of benzene board, polystyrene board to improve the fire performance. Q:These two kinds of glass wool are used as insulation materials, but one keeps 0.3 in specific gravity while the other keeps 0.5 in specific gravity. Which one should be chosen?
It mainly depends on what would you use it for and what temperature of thermal insulation do you need. You can directly look through thermal insulation property of glass wool for further information. If you needs better thermal insulation effect, you can choose heavier specific gravity. If you are not so demanding, you can choose lighter ones.
Q:Best insulation for Pex tubing 3/4 pipe in the roof? HELP!!!?
Check into heat tape tied to pipe, with insulation wrapped around that. turns on when freezing temperatures. insulation by itself, will not stop it from freezing if left for long periods without water moving through it. .
Q:What's the types of glass wool points? do they have the same sound insulation effect?
Mineral wool and rock wool basically
Q:How best to insulate interior of attic roof?
You can avoid the condensation problem by simply leaving a minimum 2'' gap between the roof and the insulation. You need to fix battens on to the rafters ( at least 2'' from the tiles ) and then fix blanket or rigid insulation tight between them. The battens will maintain the air space. You then need to fix a vapour barrier over the whole thing and finish with plasterboard. No small job to do it properly ! ps you need to check the condition of the roof before you start and fix any loose tiles etc Alternatively, turn the heating up and wear a thicker sweater.
Q:Can I ask my landlord to put better insulation in the roof?
We don't know what kind of climate you are in - or the age/construction of the dwelling.......but by standards here, 4 degrees heat loss in 4 hours is insignificant... For comparison.....we have a two-story, 1800 sq ft modern home in Ohio: the windows are triple-glazed (but there are a lot of them)......the walls have fiberglass bats under 1 inch cedar siding.......our ceilings are acoustical tile over plasterboard with about 2 feet of blown-in fiberglass insulation above them. We have a new, Energy Star gas furnace . . . . in cold weather it cycles on&off at least 10 times an hour.....I am sure that if we were to turn it off, the temps would drop more than 5 degrees per HOUR......gas bills about $250 a month in winter. You are fortunate to have so little heat loss in yours.......while the "sawdust looking" insulation doesn't sound very cutting-edge, I can't imagine anything would reduce the heat loss and be cost-effective. If buildings didn't cool-off in cold weather, we'd just heat rocks in the sun and bring them inside !!!!!!!
Q:Does anyone know about the general unit weight of glass cotton color steel plate?
Glass cotton in the market is generally 16kg / m³ to 64kg / m³. I have also heard about glass cotton with high unit weight, but the higher the unit weight is, the higher the production requirements are, and the boards are more fragile. Glass cotton are manufactured to meet the requirement of large-area pave, apart from the unique thermal insulation property, they are good at fireproofing, shock and sound absorption.
Q:can i install an insulation material under a polycarbonate roof to reduce noise when raining?
You can put it up there, but it's effectiveness at cutting noise would depend on the thickness of the insulation but you should not hope for too much reduction as the hard poly roofing is screwed or nailed directly to the rafters and is a good medium for sound transference.
Q:how to minimize the itching from exposure to roof insulation?
take a cold shower as soon as you get home.
