I am also wondering if this can be done with carpet padding or can it only be glued directly to the sub-floor? - If you are looking for one that is new but inexpensive, check your local family dollar. They usually have quite a few to choose from and, at least here in PA, they are $20 or under. If you are looking for color suggestions, you may want to find a print with another color(s) you like in it that has just a little chocolate brown to bring all the colors together...then use the 'other' colors for planning the rest of your decor to play down the brown. As far as the bathroom, start with the shower curtain. Find one that you really like that has just enough pistachio in it to match well....then also use the other colors in it to choose the main color for you bath decor.

Look for a large dumpster full of carpet peices and cut off the one thats closest to yours and get some Elmers white glue to hold it in place and put a weight on it till it's dry. no one will ever know!
