Q:Are you scared of vacuum cleaners too?
No. The cats and dogs are afraid of the vacuum.
Q:I'm looking for a vacuum that is less than $200, Upright, bagless, HEPA, can clean pet hair, and reliable/durable. If you know any other vaccuum brand that fits into ALL of my requirements above, feel free to tell me. I did some research and narrowed my list down to two. So my questions are:1. Which one should I buy? 2. What are the pros and cons between the two?
Years ago vacuums were mostly metal, with plastic used sparingly, as in bumpers, trim, etc. Nowadays vacuums are 98 % plastic, with metal used sparingly, such as in the motor, wheel shafts, screws, etc. Bissell has traditionally used a cheaper plastic, similar to the stuff they used to make those cheapie little toys out of. It doesn't stand up to rough use very well, cracks easily and breaks. Eureka has been in the vacuum business longer and I feel, makes a moderately good product. I'm not aware of any Eureka u/r's that allow for agitator shut down while running. Panasonic makes an u/r with that feature, as does Riccar and Simplicity, all in the $300-$500 range. Bagless machines require more filters to catch the dirt that the bag normally stops, so require that you purchase filters regularly instead of bags. It's a trade off. Also, when you dump the dirt container there's always that little puff of dirt back into the air, which you can frequently bypass with a bag. Consumer Reports rates bagged units over bagless units, nearly every time. One of the best vac's for the money is the Hoover Windtunnel u/r. If you have trouble with your arms or wrists they are available in self-propelled models, if not get one without. They all have great suction and a good agitator system.
Q:But I don't want to spend a lot a lot. What should I look for ?
Type in the search bar:Affordable vacuums?
Q:I hear stories about guys using vacuum cleaners for stuff other than housework. Is that for real, how you doin' that?Which is the best model to use, AC or DC?Which buttons do I need to press? How do I clean up the aftermath? What other electrical appliances can be used for self gratification, I have a whole bunch of weird things in my kitchen and toolshed. Are there any safety precautions I should look out for, I wouldn't want to have an accident. What appliances do the ladies prefer?Thanking you in advance.
Vacuum Masturbation
Q:I have four cats and most of my house is carpeted. I've had horrible luck with vacuum cleaners. Should I break down and get a high end vacuum cleaner? (No, vacuum cleaner salesmen, Please.)
A good friend of mine just did a fair bit of research on this. From what he found out, the Dyson's are WAY overpriced and no better than any other good quality vacuum. Never get a canister vacuum, the hair will get caught and affect the performance of the vacuum. As well, the vacuums where you pull the little R2-D2 unit behind you never have enough power. Get an upright, bag vacuum. Basically, do some looking around but the biggest thing is, don't just buy a name brand. Ask around.
Q:Just today, one nearly ate me alive! It's a conspiracy I tell ya!! The vacuums have been specially engineered to kill off a third of the worlds population!!!! AND THEY ARE STARTING WITH ME!!!!
HA HA! Hey, they increase the suction power. Or they might be tryin to kill you...
Q:Should we men just replace women with vacuum cleaners?
Lonely men and their vacuum cleaners.... Why don't you just get an inflate-a-date. At least that can kind of look like a girl. But if you just wanna hook yourself up to a vacuum cleaner, go ahead, knock yourself out.
Q:Why are my dogs afraid of the vacuum? One of my dogs runs from it, and the other trys to attack it...why?
My dog barks at mine. Think of it this way... The vacuum cleaner is loud to us, right? A dog's hearing is around 4x better than ours, so to them, it makes one hell of a noise. Wouldn't you be scared of an extremely loud thing, that moves, if you didn't know what it was?
