Q:In your opinion, what is the best vacuum brand/model available today?
Best okorder.com/... Riccar and Sebo are two other highly rated vacuum cleaners, though I have not used them personally to offer any thoughts. If you're on a budget, then you will want to look at the offerings of Bissell and Hoover. Both have models in the $100 to $150 range that do a decent job, but make no mistake, these are low end vacuums that you'll be lucky to get a few years of service from before needing to replace them. I can tell you unequivocally that Eureka and Dirt Devil are brands to avoid.
Q:Is Kirby Vacuum Cleaners a scam?
PROBABLY! BUT --- Do I have 3 days to rescind my purchase of a Kirby Vacuum ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Q:What is the best vacuum cleaner in the $100-$150 range for thick carpet and pets?
I also work for a vacuum shop, and I would agree with the other person above about not going bagless. The hair will definitly clog the filters faster and makes for a real dirty mess. I honestly think it will be hard to find a good quality vacuum in that price range that will last. All vacuums are stong and pick up at first. The Dyson is horrible, simply put. Very heavy, clog often and noone wants to repair them. The Dirt Devil company has made better vacuums as of late, but I would would recommend a Sanitaire vacuum which will give you more longevity and eventually you will want to get a canister. Sanitaire vacuums are made for commercal use, but can be used in residential settings and are very strong and just above your price range. You can check out the source below to read up on these vacuums and compare prices.
Q:Can any of the iRobot Roomba work on normal carpet?
I have one and I think they work best on a bare floor. Doesn't seem to hang up as much or leave missed pieces of stuff behind.
Q:Hyla Bagless Water Vacuum?
Question: What's the Difference Between a Vacuum and Carpet Steamer or Cleaner (If that's what you mean by water vacuums) Although some carpet steamers and cleaners do have a suction mechanism to remove the cleaning fluid and water from your carpet after cleaning the area, they should only be used for steaming or cleaning a carpet and never used as a vacuum cleaner. Answer: The term 'carpet cleaner' or shampooer used to relate to types of carpet cleaning appliances which did not have a water tank and cleaned using a cleaner in conjunction with brush action. The cleaning fluid actually stayed in the carpet to protect the fibers and was not removed, nor was any water applied. Today, the term generally means any appliance that is used to clean a carpet and carpet cleaners have changed considerably in the last few years. Today, most carpet cleaners are in fact steamers. Along with a liquid cleaning solution, hot water or steam is applied to the carpet. Brushes rotate to help lift the rug fibers and the water and solution is then extracted into a waste water reservoir that must be emptied. This allows carpets to be deep-cleaned and the water is then vacuumed by the same machine, allowing it to dry rather quickly.
Q:Why do vacuum cleaners never last long?
It is part of the disposable plan in our shaky economy. Nothing is made to last. I have given up on regular vacuum cleaners because the belts constantly break and, of course, your problem...noone carried the bags. Also, if you have a vacuum with a filter, they dont carry the filter either. I have gone 100% to a shop vac. These devils almost never cave in and it appears that you can always get the parts. They vacuum better too.
Q:My mom has a vacuum cleaner that gets clogged up what can we do so it dosen't get clogged up any more?
First of all, unless your mother is very enthusiastic about her vacuuming, don't fix it for her birthday. Take her out to dinner, buy her a nice pair of slippers and her favorite perfume. Not a vacuum. All you can do is clean it out as much as you can. Look for larger objects that may have been sucked in and remove them. If it is clogged with a bunch of hair from someone or some pet, try and stop that hair from reaching the floor. Combing your pet on a regular basis and throwing away the hair not only helps your animal in the summer heat, but also keeps the hair off the floor. Good luck, and find a better gift for your mom than a working vacuum.
Q:Vacuum Salesman?
Not sure if this is a question?? I've done the same thing. They drive me crazy!
Q:Are you scared of vacuum cleaners too?
You have no idea.......(crosses legs and shivers)...lol
Q:Vacuum cleaners for pet hair?
the dyson seems to be a great vacume, but it is no where close to your budget, and when you go shopping, you will find the 700 dollar price tag on the one you want is unacceptable...yes there is a difference. instead, I suggest a eureka bagless vacume. I got mine for 85 dollars at Lowes. it comes with a dusting wand that is cleaned by the vacume. And it has incredible suction, and all filters are washable in your sink. since you have a 300 dollar budget, they sell a great attatchment for this vacume for pet hair on furniture ...I use it to vacume my dog...lol. another great option is a shop vac for pre vacuming around pet beds. Any small shop vac works great for this. Have fun shopping.
