Q:I had a dyson vacuum it was terrible! it was heavy as hell and made of all cheap chinese plastic. I see oreck has some cheaper and more modern looking vacuums these days. Any serious opinions?
My Dyson vacuum cleaner was absolutely the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned! I had two cats, one of whom was a long-haired Maine Coon and I killed several vacuum cleaners trying to keep my house clean. The last one prior to the Dyson was a Kenmore that was in the shop every month due to clogging. It was always under warranty so it didn't cost me anything to get it fixed, but it kept breaking. One day, I was so fed up with the whole thing that I spent the money on a Dyson and never regretted it. When I moved overseas, I kept very few items . . . I kept the Dyson. It's in a storage unit, waiting to be used again. Sure, it's ugly, but it does the job like no other. Good luck on your search for a better one.
Q:The spots look like black ink spots. They seem to be powdery because now they are all over my carpet. Is there an effective way to clean my carpet? Can steam vacuums help? Will I have to call professional cleaners to clean them? Any kinda help is appreciated! Thanks
oops could the powdery stuff come from the band on your vac.? If so the band or belt is broken........
Q:why are some dogs afraid of vacuum cleaners?
I always thought my dog was afraid of the vaccuum sweeper but as it turns out he thinks it's a toy. A big noisy toy! He'd bite and bark at it visciously for the first 2 years of his life and I swore daily at the breeder because I knew full well they'd chased the pups with their vaccuum. We got another pup then and for the first year and 1/2 of his life he'd watch happily while the older dog attacked the sweeper. This one was born and raised in a kennel till he was 8 weeks old. He'd be right there wagging his tail and looking at me like he wanted to be in the middle of the fun but was confused as to what the fuss was about. Then one day after all that time he decided to join in and bark and bite the sweeper too.i've never been able to so much as get close to the thing without it setting my older dog off.Now I have both doing it.I tried hard to only vaccuum when the dogs were outside and they'd sit and cry at the door the whole time it was running. Then one day as they were both attacking my sweeper as I tried to use it I'd had it.All I said was Enough and both stopped immediately and left the room. I was really amazed. After that I let them attack the sweeper for a minute after I turn it on and then say enough I shared and they go lay down. They just have to show that thing whose boss before I touch it or they are'nt happy.
Q:I have four cats and most of my house is carpeted. I've had horrible luck with vacuum cleaners. Should I break down and get a high end vacuum cleaner? (No, vacuum cleaner salesmen, Please.)
I have a dog who sheds all the time and my vacuum does not pick up all the hair. Dyson makes a vacuum specifically for pet owners and I hear that it really works , however I cannot convince my husband to pay $400 for it as of yet. I say go ahead and buy the vacuum.
Q:So I like seen Jurassic Park again in the 3D room at my movie plex and then I realized something. I was vacuuming and a paper clip got sucked in then I recalled that when I hear the velociraptors.
They are turtles having sex. No joke that is what the noise is.
Q:im just really curious about it and whats the difference with the conventional vacuum cleaner?is it worth buying?
they clean dirty steam
Q:How come Hulk Hogan never got an endorsement deal with Brother Vacuum Cleaners, Brother?
Or Brother printers neither. Strange. You're right.
Q:My wife and I are stumped trying to find an answer. I have these crazy bouts of itching that is seemingly not stopping. I went to the allergist and had some allergy test ran. He said that I am allergic to dust mites, grass/weed, and cat hair. We have been cleaning our house top to bottom with a Hepa filter vacuum (Dyson) and installed bed covers and pillow covers that are dust mite proof. We have wiped down the walls, the roof, and pretty much everything but the itching continues. I don't go outside much and work from home. Does anyone know of what might cause this? We have ruled out lice or bed bugs. I don't know if it helps much but I've had gastric bypass surgery. Please help...we are driving ourselves nuts with the constant cleaning and vacuuming. I've tried Cortozone 10 and allergy meds but they only seem to put a small dent in the itching.
I'm not sure. I think you should ask your doctor.
Q:I am planning to get a now dog. Preferably a small breed, and it will be indoors allot. My house is really big. MY question is , will it be a problem if my house is almost always messy? there is allot of trash lyeing around all over the place, bits of paper, cloths hangers, cloths, other trash, toys. Will this is a big deal. I assume it would, but exactly how clean should I be for the new dog ? What kind of stuff is a absolute must to avoid having lying around in the dog's reach ?
Puppies are like little vacuum cleaners, in their minds everything is edible until proven otherwise. It will be very dangerous to a puppy if there are all kinds of random objects lying around. It's difficult enough to train a puppy not to chew on stuff that's not his, let alone do it when he's surrounded by what looks like Toys 'r Us to him! I'd definitely recommend that you get a crate, so that the pup (and your stuff) is safe when you're not supervising him. Also, clean up at least one room, so that there's nothing lying around that he can swallow. Use a baby stair gate or something similar to block off the doorway, that way he has some more space, but is still safe. If your yard also contains a lot of 'stuff', make sure you protect him by supervising him there too. The website below is specifically for new puppy owners, you will probably find it helpful. Best of luck.
Q:i need a good vacuum that won't break. my family and i had one that lasted for about 5-6 years then we kept buying vacuums for under $100 after that one broke then those broke within a month or two .. i need one that will last and won't be a waste of my money. one that is under $200 ... please help me...?? :-(
Dyson all the way! I know it is over $400, but we have had it for many years!!! I just totally love it! We had been buying a new one at least once a year and when you consider if you spent like $80 on a new one that often, you are better off to invest in one that will last MANY YEARS! I love that the filters are lifetime, washable filters and I love the awesome suction and that it is bagless. The wand stretches all the way up a flight of sta rs and you can get many neat attachments for getting under beds and stuff. We got ours at Best Buy, but I am sure it would be WAY cheaper if you bought it off OKorder or checked Craigs List. Hope that helps! Tara
