Q:Don't men vacuum too?: Good point. I've also never seen a commercial where the guy breaks down in tears because nobody asked for a second cup of the coffee he brewed. You have to realize that ad makers have to home in on stereotypes, they want the largest audience possible. But they can be subtle - the guy's gonna go out and buy his housewife the vacuum with the big, brawny motor, ya know?

HELP!!!: It is possible for them to travel on the vacuum but unlikely the chances are greater by having casual contact with him, I wouldn't be overly afraid by somewhat careful until he has been treated for a few days. So yea let him borrow the vacuum and let it sit in garage for a few days before using it

The Sebo is almost $600 but I only paid $300 for the Flexamatic (and it's even more heavy duty..go figure). I've owned her for almost 6 years, run her nearly every day and have never had a problem. I have had to replace the brush once, but it pops out very easily for cleaning and changing. All you have to do is push a button, twist the edge off and it slides right out. And every time I change the filters and bag, it's like having a brand new machine. My vacuum has done all the things that I saw claimed by Dyson. It never loses suction and it can maneuver anywhere.

Q:Who has owned and recommends Electrolux vacuum cleaners?: I bought a Guardian Aerus Electrolux. The Electrolux at Sears is a Fancy Kenmore with the Electrolux label. The true Electrolux has to have the Aerus Logo. Check with dealers. At first I loved mine but then it started losing suction. I had it serviced but it was never the same. I would recommend the SEBO it is a hospital grade vacuum and I like it SOOO much better! I have three kids with allergies and a dog... I had to have a good vacuum and I have owned Kirbie's, Electrolux, Stand up traded it up right away, for the Guardian, after a few years hated it it was bulky and lost suction, traded up for a Sebo and WOW I love it... And it is a stand up. But the suction is just as good as a canister.. Usually Canisters have more suction.... My mother also loves her Sebo and she has 4 dogs. We are corky and one day bored we argued over who had the better vacuum... Needless to say she won... I used the Guardian and then she went over the same spot with the Sebo and I was impressed on how much stuff she was able to pick up!!!

Q:What are the filtration methods for vacuum cleaners?: Water filtration using water as filter medium makes the dust and microorganisms in the most of them will be dissolved in water and the rest of the lock, through the filter after further filtering, the exhaust cleaner may breathe cleaner air than. The utility model has the advantages of dry and wet use, and the disadvantage is that the dust is cleaned after being finished.

Q:what is the history behind it, future designs background research.: No one really knows when the first hand held vacuum cleaner was created but it was long after first vacuum cleaners were invented. First portable cleaners were carried on back until technology allowed to minimised their size. Future designs? Dyson DC30 Hand Held is a future IMO, but who knows? FOr sure they will be lighter and more compact.

Q:Hi All,Could you recommend some vacuums cleaners which are best for hardwood and tile floors? The one I have now picks up the big stuff ok but leaves behind some pet hair and the smaller dirt/dust particles. I usually have to follow up my vacuuming with the Swiffer.
