Q:When the tv repair company comes out do they take your tv power cable or have there own one for tv
All TV repair people have all the power cables they could need. BUT... if they think that your fault could simply be a fault in your cable, then they may take it with them, though they would be more likely to try swapping it on your premises before removing the set.
Q:im upgrading amps from 200 to 1000 and i was wondering if the cables will restrict the current at all? right now i have a 225 watt cord set
The first consideration is how much power can your speakers handle without self destructing? My opinion is that few can productively handle more than a couple of hundred, and that would be for very brief peaks. The average listening level in a domestic situation is on the order of a few watts - 10 or less. If you really have speakers that can handle that amount of power, and you want to deliver it efficiently, then you need to keep the 2-way resistance of the wires from the amps to the speakers at less than 10% of the speaker impedance. So for 4 ohm speakers (worst case) you want the line resistance to be below 0.4 ohms. For a 50 ft (100 ft 2-way) cable run, that suggests 16 AWG minimum wire gauge for each speaker. Your existing RCA cables should be OK assuming they only carry low level signals. If your present power service and grounding are on a 15 or 20 Amp branch circuit (US) , and no other heavy appliance loads (refrigerator, washer, airconditioner) are on that branch, then it is OK for the new amps.
Q:trying to install garbage disposal and need it powered.I wanted to use this computer cable because the one that was with disposal got damaged.I would like to know how to determine which of the three (brown, blue, yellow) wires is ground. And for other two does it matter which way they are connected? Thanks in advance.
STEP AWAY from the appliance. A computer draws a lot less than that motor you propose to connect. Don't be cheap. Get the proper size cord. What you show from the computer looks like #20. You want a 3 W. #16, cord.
Q:I am getting a new 160 amp high output alternator for my 2005 Mazda 3 2.3L. I am running a 1000w amp with two subs. I have the stock alternator in it right now. There are two power cable kits available for me to get. One that has 4 gauge wire with a 100 amp fuse and the other, 1 gauge with 150 amp fuse. Which kit should I get? Can I just add 4 gauge wire along with my stock wire instead of the 1 gauge kit? What are the fuses for and which one would work better? I know nothing about this. Thanks.
I would go with the 1 ga wire. The fuse keeps the wire from setting your car on fire. The size of the alternator does not matter. The battery should supply 700 amps or so.
Q:I'm extending one of my PSU power cables because is to short. the line got 2 black/1 yellow and 1 red (molex) I know the colors have to be matched but if at the other end I end up mixing the 2 black lines, will there be a problem?ps: I already sleeved the cable for that matter I can't see the 2 black cables inside and i forgot to mark them. :)
first of all dont make any home made concoctions you can find those tipe of extensions in a pc store for under a buck and it dosnt mater the black cables are just grounds the important ones are the red and yelow
Q:Yjv22 what is the core of the cable? Copper core or aluminum core?
sure. Take the ground pipe is to be from the floor under the brick. But the late completion of the drawing to be accurate, so that the next time to repair the line can not find the location. Want to answer to help you.
Q:Now i get a message saying I have low system voltage. Is this gonna impair performance? Are there adapters for this? This is for a DESKTOP. Dell XPS.
What? What are you saying? What processor uses a 10 pin power connector? You did 'say' CPU! (Central Processing Unit) Or do you mean the 20 pin ATX Motherboard connector? (AMD's use no power to processor connector. Intel Pentium 4 and UP, use a four pin power connector, from the power supply to the motherboard. (Mobo) Edit: Low System Voltage will start with causing weird things to happen. Then the computer motherboard power headers,(Connectors), will burn up. I suggest you turn this computer off, un-plug it, and email me.
Q:I've had this laptop (Dell Studio XPS 1640) for about two and a half years, and I've been through three power cables. The first one was a no-brainer, since the end was wearing a lot and you could see the wires. The past two have basically just stopped working for no obvious reason. The blue light on the end of the cord still lights up blue, but my computer says plugged in and not charging. I just bought a brand new one less than four months ago and it's worked perfectly until this past week. Has anyone else been having this problem with similar laptops? And if so, is there anything I can do besides wasting more money on a new cable?
I would suggest your take your adapter in to your local computer store and they can check it out. If your adapter is working but your still not getting current then the problem is inside your computer and it will need to be sent for repairs... Source(s): CompTIA A+ Computer Professional
Q:I was wondering if it is possible to have flat power cables as i want to place my hdtv on the wall but don't want the power cable trailing down so that it looks like its levitating (i suppose anyway). I also want to do this for my mini hi-fi, as that is on a supporting wall and feeding wires through that is either not viable and/or out of my electrical range. I live in the UK, so would prefer a national company as opposed to foreign.
Hi Allotted, The best thing to do is cut into the wall and run the cables down the inside. By the time you have power, DVD/VCR, cable connection and a dozen other things you have a huge bundle of cables. Cut a opening behind the TV and run the wires down the inside to the floor. Make an opening to bring them out there. I did mine like that and while it took some effort the results were a great looking installation. Norm
Q:So i left my xbox on over night (i know i know) and during the night there was either a power outage or surge, cuz all the electronic clocks had been reset. So i went to my xbox, and the light on the power cable box was red and my xbox wouldnt turn on. I havent tried unplugging it yet cuz the wires are behind my tv and a pain in the *** to get to, but i have a feeling this wont help.do i need to get it repaired?
Disconnect everything except for the wires behind tv and also remove xbox 360 hard drive and insert back Connect everything back in place. The problem should be fixed If problem still keeps happening then its a sign of getting a new power adapter(cable box) For any more questions about xbox 360 feel free to ask
