When I clean my rugs, I always finish up by rubbing an old towel over the rug to remove any excess moisture and surface residue. It really helps speed up the drying time. The Rug Doctor is a lot bigger, heavier and a lot more expensive. Hoover is very reasonably priced and does a good job.
