- That is a classical Victorian Sofa (with a tufted back) tghey used to be made with horse hair; you will have to do some googling at some specialty sites as these aren't produced in abundance. YOu can find some antique ones as well.

- Sofa beds usually have a pull in the center of the front of the sofa. There is usually a handle to do so. It's the only way I have ever seen a sofa bed pull out and it goes back the same way.

It's about 140.00 dollars difference at the store where I can get it. Which one do you think is better? I'm really leaning toward the Ella Spice one. I don't want to get the other one just because it's cheaper and then regret it. I do like it though. Just not as much as the other. Ashley is a pretty decent name in furniture, so both are probably good quality. Really, it's a matter of which you like better and what your budget can handle. To be honest, I'm not crazy about the style of either one (too traditional for me ... and I'm not nuts about florals), but I do like other items in the Ella Spice line ... the dark-toned wood and the simple, classic lines could work well in a more contemporary setting, if you chose. Overall, I like the Ella Spice better. You're right ... a sofa is a long-term investment, so I'd recommend you buy the one you love and will want to live with for a long time. $140 isn't really a lot if you figure that over the life of a sofa ... right? ADDED: If you like the cottage style, you love roses and romance, you like pink and green together ... either of these sofas would be PERFECT for you! Pick the one YOU love.
