Q:I have a power adapter that changes the tip of a power cable from the US standard to the Spain standard. My laptop has 3 prongs and the adapter accepts 2. It fits into it, but the 3rd prong just rests outside. I know the voltage over there is twice as strong, so will this work correctly?
NO! You will have no grounded electricity and will blow the inverter on your laptop in which case it will be useless. Do NOT even attempt this. Spend the $20-$30 and save yourself the trouble.
Q:3 * 185 + 1 * 95 What is the price of copper cable? Thank you friends help
General telephone lines, lighting control lines or wire diameter in the 1.5 square millimeters of small lines with 4 points. More than the aforementioned line will use the 6 points.
Q:If you have an electrical device (e.g. a laptop), you'll sometimes notice that near the place where you plug the power adapter into it, there's a sign. It's composed of 3 circles, minus on the left, O inside a C in the middle, and plus on the right. What is this? And if I want to read/learn more about it where should I go?
If you look at the jack that go inside the power input you will see that it is an outside connect and an inside one.The O is the inside connect and the C is the outside one.Because it is a DC power adapter it has a + and - polarity .O,the inside ,is the plus and C,the outside,is the minus. Also on the adapter you can see the same thing! This is because some brands use the outside connect as + and you can burn your device if you use it!!!!
Q:Hi,I recently bought a daewoo l700c monitor second hand. Its cheap because It didn't come with a power supply/power cable.I know that It requires one of those one point plugs..like the ones that go into some laptops.Help please?
notice the info to the left of the port this is importent take this info with you when you look for one of these
Q:Hey I just recently bought a Randal RB200X bass amplifier combo but it came with no cables or power chords or anything. Can someone please tell me what I need to buy in terms of cables to turn this amp on? I am clueless and am really desperate! Please help.
If it's just the power cable your missing, it's going to be a very standard IEC power cable. It's the same one that comes on most electronic equipment now (like your PC). You can get 'em at Fry's, Radio Shack, or GC might have one in a junk drawer that they'll give you. Greetings from Austin, TX Ken
Q:what cables do i need (besides a power cable) to start playing?
The PS3 should come with composite cables as standard. The yellow/red/white cables. IF bought brand new take it back and tell them you got no lead with it. How ever if bought second hand, ask the person to send you the composite cables. If they cant the one for the PS2 will do the same job. Also you can use a HDMI cable if you have a HD tv.
Q:Now i get a message saying I have low system voltage. Is this gonna impair performance? Are there adapters for this? This is for a DESKTOP. Dell XPS.
What? What are you saying? What processor uses a 10 pin power connector? You did 'say' CPU! (Central Processing Unit) Or do you mean the 20 pin ATX Motherboard connector? (AMD's use no power to processor connector. Intel Pentium 4 and UP, use a four pin power connector, from the power supply to the motherboard. (Mobo) Edit: Low System Voltage will start with causing weird things to happen. Then the computer motherboard power headers,(Connectors), will burn up. I suggest you turn this computer off, un-plug it, and email me.
Q:Ok so my friend gave me a 40LCD samsung tv, but he had lost the power cable some how. I have actually found a cable to buy on the internet but i have some concerns. 1 i'm not entirely sure its the right cable for my tv, the socket looks like it would fit but the cable claims to work for all samsung song and lg tvs, when i know that my parents song lcd tv has a more complicated power cable. So i'm worried that using this cable could like wreck the tv or something. the second thing is that i herd you can call samsung and they'll send you a cable for free
Go to the Samsung link below. Just put your model into the search and it's parts will come up. Then you can compare the price and type of cable you see there to check what you are buying elsewhere.
Q:I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 DVR Digital Cable box and yesterday when I arrived home, it was not showing the time or any evidence of power. The TV and DVD player work just fine, but not the box. I unplugged it, tried a different plug but no power. I hear the box working, but it never shows any sign of powering on. This box is maybe a month old.Any thoughts?
The power wont show because some thing might be damaged inside.
Q:I'm putting in my new power supply and gotta take out the old. But there isnt any clips to slide the cables out. I don't want to pull to hard and damage anything. How do you get it out. Do you pull hard? Help me.
Usually the power cables going to the hard drive or CDROM have 2-3 wires that go into a white connector on the back of the device. Sometimes they have a clip to press down, but usually not. What you have to do is use your thumb and index finger and place them on each side of the white connector. (There is usually a couple of ridges sticking out on each side.) Simply tug outwards gradually but firmly, and rocking it from side to side until it finally detaches. When installing the new power supply, take a look on the connectors and you should see that they can only be inserted in one direction, as it usually has a angled corner that will not allow installation if it is upside-down. I would also suggest you make sure that the PC is not still plugged in. Some power supplies operate in standby mode and if you use pliers or a screwdirver to try and get the power supply out, you could fry the boards. (Just be sure to touch something metal to discharge any static electricity buildup on you before handling the PC.)
