Principle:
The antenna of Radar level meter emits extreme short microwave pulse to the measured media surface and reflects to the same antenna with the speed of light,the time from emission to receiption of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel. 
GUIDEPULS60 serial radar level meter adopted special related demodulation technology,they can correctly judge the time from emission and reception of the signals to calculate the distance between the antenna and the surface of measured media.

 

Input:

 

the antenna receive the reflected microwave and transmit to current circuit ,microprocessor processed the signal,to read out the reflected microwave from the surface of the measured media.intellectual software select the correct signal and accuracy can reach millimeter degree.the distance(D) to the measured media is proportional to the running time of the pulse(T)
D=C×T/2 C:speed of light.
empty vessel distance(E) is known,then the level(L)=E-D
Output:
By inputing empty height(E)(= zero point),full vessel height(F)(=Max.measuring range) and some applied parameters to set,applied parameters can make the meter adapting to the measured environment.corresponding to 4-20mA output.

 

When the antenna emits microwaves,there should have emission angel.the area that emited microwaves radiated between the bottom of the antenna and surface of measured media should not have barrier ,so when installing,do best to keep away of facilities in vessel,just like:ladder,limit switch,heating equipment,and bracket.when it is unable to keep away,when installing,we should do false echo saving.we should note that microwave and filling flow can not intersect.the Max. level of the media should not enter into dead zone,there is certain distance between the level meter and vessel wall.when installing,the best is to make the emission direction of the antenna is vertical to surface of measured media.when installing in the area of anti-explosion,we must abide by national installation stipulation,the housing material of the intrinsic safety type level meter is aluminum,it is suitable to install in the anti-explosion area,the housing of the meter should connect to ground.
the area from measured reference plane to the bottom of the antenna is the dead zone of the level meter(reference plane is the seal surface of thread or flange)

Power supply cable can use normal two core cable,the outside diameter should be 5...9mm to make sure to seal the inlet port of cable.if there is electromagnetic interference,use shield cable.
