Virgin Mobile is a prepaid service. That means if you don't pay your bill at the end of your billing cycle it automatically cancels and closes your account. You do not need to contact them. There are no fees if you cancel or don't pay your bill. Your service would be terminated and your account will be closed. So after that you can just sell your phone. When the person buys your used phone they would have to reactivate the phone and have a new phone number and account.

Why would anyone send a phone to Nigeria? Phones in Nigeria are less than half the price as in Europe or the US due to local purchasing power. In fact, there are companies in the UK importing phones from Nigeria because they are so cheap and reselling them. You can get a basic mobile phone without a camera for less than US5$, and even one with a camera can be bought for about US20-25$. You are going to pay much more for the phone and shipping from the US than the same phone can be bought in Nigeria. There is no need to buy a phone for someone in Nigeria, they can buy a phone for less than what it costs to go online at an internet cafe for 3 hours. You should be asking him to send you a phone since he can probably get the same model for half of what you would pay

No. Sorry , but there are Virgin Mobiles all around the world. They all use different phone technologies. France, UK, South Africa and Australia Virgin Mobiles all use sim card phones called gsm. Gsm networks can use any sim card in any phone if it is unlocked first. India, USA and Canada use a non sim card phone technology called cdma. Each network can only use its own phones. VM Canada is owned by Bell. VM USA is owned by Sprint (as of yesterday's buyout announcement). Neither company will let phones from one side go to the other. So no VM Canada phones can run on VM USA either. If you want true phone choice and freedom , stick with gsm phones which come with sim cards. Anther bonus over cdma is that they can be used in any country in the world, cdma cannot.

My boyfriend and I both have T-Mobile. He has the blast and I had the Nokia 5310 (i recently upgraded to the G1.) The blast is an ok phone. The battery life is not anything amazing but it is ok. I really liked my Nokia 5310. It was compact, had a great music player and it had a long battery life. I know its not a slider phone but you should really check it out. They also have them on sale for $50, just at your budget!

Easy answer. If the phone has been reported lost, the ESN stays bad, until the original owner clears it. If the phone has been reported, the ESN stays bad until the original owner clears it. If the phone was under contract and the contract was broken, and ETF was not paid, the ESN stays bad until the original owner or the new owner pays the ETF and or final bill. I don't know very many second had owners stupid enough to pay the original owners final bill or ETF. But of which are often more than the phone is worth. But if the original owner pays it, no big deal. So as you note the THEME here, it's forever, unless the original owner who the phone was registered to, calls in or goes into a Virgin Mobile store WITH ID, to take care of whatever reason the phone's ESN is considered BAD.
