- Q:I brought home a new microsuede sofa, and didn't even think about the static problem, until my 3-year old daughter sat down on it. (Her baby fine hair, looked like she had a finger in an electrical socket!) She's been crying since, because she's been shocking herself, and I'm wondering what would be the best thing to do. I am thinking Static Guard, but then I wonder if those first couple globs that drip from the first spray, might fall onto the sofa and stain it. And then I'm wondering if I were to use dryer sheets, would the fabric then feel like it had an almost waxy like residue left on it (as subtle as it might be). Has anyone experienced this before? The fabric is cocoa, so it's not like I can hide any stains in dark fabric. Thanks for your help!
- static guard will work just fine ,if you're worried about glops hold a paper towel under the actuator to catch them -spray the carpet below too -it actually happens from the plastic it comes wrapped in . Poor baby! spray that thing soon! good luck to you your sofa and mostly your little one.

- Q:My son's pull-up leaked over on to my parents brand new sofa!! Fortunately he was only leaned against the cushion, so the foam isn't soaked through. Can this fabric be cleaned safely without removing the cover? I have never successfully reinserted a foam cushion (at least not solo) and these look exceptionally well fitted. We will all be alot happier if they never know about this. Naturally this had to happen on the first new furniture they have ever bought since having kids. Need I say more. HELP!!!
- Wait! okorder /... I spot-cleaned a couple of places on my microfiber sofa and it left rings. So try whatever cleaning method you decide on in an inconspicuous spot first to be sure it won't leave a ring or spot or shrinkage. Removing and replacing a cushion cover is not for the faint-of-heart. Leave that to the pros. You might even want to enlist a pro to work on the stain since it isn't your sofa. PS (I hate microfiber; it collects dirt too easily and doesn't look nice for long if anyone actually uses the furniture!)
- Q:I am thinking about getting one of those surefit slipcovers for my couch. But I am wondering if it will fit, my couch has huge pillows for the back and sides. Will it stretch enough to go over the pillows or should I try to cover the couch without the pillows and try to find pillows to go over the cover? If anyone has ever used one I would love their opinion.
- I have an attached, overstuffed pillowback sofa and I used a Surefit cover. It was fine. The only problem I had was the space between the pillowback and the sofa back. It seemed like too big a hollow for me, so I bought some batting and filled it out. But the slipcover is great...highly recommend it.

- If you like your sofa, why not get an area run to compliment it (it sounds like the sofa has a busy pattern, so select a solid rug; maybe pick a favorite or neutral color that's in the sofa upholstery somewhere, and get an area run in that single color). A tile floor - even one that mimics wood (tho the newest wood look tiles are very cool) sounds cold for a living room, so a large area rug in a complimentary color kills two birds. If you like the floor and are ready for a new look for your sofa, get a slip cover for the sofa. You coud pick out fabric in a fabraic store and have one custom sewn (not necessarily cheap) or check out ready-made slip covers at a site like Sure-fit.

- its really just about training and constant supervision, you might need to get a tall gate or crate him/her when you cant watch. i know my dog can jump, but whenever i put the gate (which is only as tall as he is) up he knows not to go past it

- The biggest problem with convertibles is there is no support under the mattress. The mattress you have would actually be more comfortable on the floor. Toppers are nice and cushy but they don't add any support. Bottom line, Sofa's are really never nice to sleep on. Invest in a better base before buying a topper.

- I had the exact same problem, I called them up and they told me that is was catalog only. I think you will find this problem for most palces online. If you are looking for a cheap leather sofa or reclining sofa or even a sofa bed i tried www emishome .uk, they had the same sofa i wanted in the argos catalog plus i could see it in there birmingham showroom. Another great feature, if you need it fast they even delivered it the next day.
