Q:Heat treatment of mild steel? Process description macro-micro
If you are speaking of a micro mini skirt, then i would think that the answer would be 1000 Hostess HoHo's would equal a macro skirt.
Q:can anyone tell me were i can find strontuim steel dowel pins?
Strontium steel is created by soaking a mild steel in strontium chromate, which has a pH of about 4 or 5, roughly the equivalent of acid rain. Chromate affects the cathodic reaction, with reduction of Cr6+ to Cr3+, and the surface film was composed of magnetite and hydrated chromium hydroxide. The Strontium is a radioactive isotope. The acid bath permeates the mild steel causing it to become mildly radioactive. Simular to oil imprengation of brass and other metals. Strontium Steel has a very high value of inhibition. However due to it's radioactive properties it is not a commonly used or manufactured material. As for where to actually obtain Strontium steel dowels. I have no idea i would speculate that you would have to purchase the raw stock and have it machined into a dowel for you.
Q:what are the differences between chrome and stainless steel?
Chrome is a very hard metal that is plated over regular steel. It often chips and cracks off, allowing rust to form underneath. Stainless steel is an alloy of steel and nickel (I think) - sometimes the pipe is solid stainless, more often it's a coating. It doesn't rust, but also doesn't look as shiny in the beginning (stainless always looks better after a little time 0 chrome plate never lasts.) It's also softer, meaning that it doesn't tend to flake off like chrome does. Chrome plating if mainly for looks - stainless steel is for the longevity of your new parts. Chrome also tends to hold the heat in - not always good, as it will discolour with intense heat (very common on exhaust pipes), and the greater expansion and contraction during its usual heating and cooling cycles tends to make it flake off more easily. Bottom line - are you more interested in performance and keeping the car running well, or are you interested in temporary, short-term looks? After all, there's a reason that pro race engines don't use chrome plating.
Q:Are steel strings bad/hard for a beginner?
Steel strings are fine for a beginner. I learned to play on Steel strings and I have always preferred them to nylon strings.
Q:Fireproofing structural steel?
This would depend upon the method of fireproofing. Steel used to be insulated with an asbestos coating. Of course the steel under the insulation had the same critical temperature as the uncoated steel but was protected from external heat by the insulation. More commonly it would be an alloy and there are so many that one could not guess except to say it should be higher than the original.
Q:How to weld aluminized steel?
This Site Might Help You. RE: How to weld aluminized steel? I just got this aftermarket exhaust on my truck and it's recommended that it be welded, but the metal is aluminized steel. How do I mig weld aluminized steel?
Q:Where do you find steel type Pokemon in pokemon diamond?
lucario is both fighting and steel if you got piplup, empoleon is water and steel, if you happen to have a shieldon (only in pearl) he is ground and steel. Bronzor and bronzong are both psychic and steel you can find them in wayward cave is the easiest place that is under cycling road Steelix is in victory road but i guess you aren't there yet hehehe.... aside from dialga, who is dragon and steel i think those are it, unless you have any others like heatran or magenezone sorry i can't help much Oh but I can trade a steeliz if you want? my name is JAY my fc is 1375.4387.9544 =D
Q:how to make carbon steel?
Carburized steel is not the same thing as carbon steel. All steel has carbon in it, but carbon steel is defined as Steel is considered to be carbon steel when no minimum content is specified or required for chromium, cobalt, molybdenum, nickel, niobium, titanium, tungsten, vanadium or zirconium, or any other element to be added to obtain a desired alloying effect; when the specified minimum for copper does not exceed 1.04 percent; or when the maximum content specified for any of the following elements does not exceed the percentages noted: manganese 1.65, silicon 0.60, copper 0.60. Carburizing is a surface treatment. Dropping hot steel in oil is oil quenching. It might get a little carbon in the surface, but oil quenching is mainly used as a slightly slower quenching process than water quenching, not for carburizing. Once it starts cooling down the carbon won't diffuse in. Quenching is used to change the hardness. The simplest way to carburize steel is to pack charcoal around it and heat it to 900 C or so. Industrial processes use a gas like carbon monoxide, but that's mostly just for easier process control.
Q:Stretching Ears: Acrylic vs Steel?
It depends on your body and what you prefer. If you body is allergic to one of them you would have to chose for another one. If it's not allergic to any, than you can use whatever you like the most, just try both.
Q:steel plow?
If you're willing to substitute the word iron for steel (steel came a good bit later in history), the Girard plow from the 1300's in Belgium would be the first example known. It's named after the guy who invented it (Girard). How did it work? Like any other plow! You drag it along and it makes a trench of sorts in the ground! It was used for agricultural purposes. As for how it was produced, you need to look up the history of the Iron Age to understand how they started to use iron back in about 1200BC to make tools.
