1Structure of Seamless Pipe ASTM A179, ASME SA179:

Seamless pipe is formed by drawing a solid billet over a piercing rod to create the hollow shell. As the manufacturing process does not include any welding, seamless pipes are perceived to be stronger and more reliable. Historically seamless pipe was regarded as withstanding pressure better than other types, and was often more easily available than welded pipe.

Standard: ASTM A179, ASME SA179: Cold-Drawn Seamless low Carbon Steel
Tubes for Boiler and Super heater
● Application: for heater, cooler and heat treatment exchanger
● Steel Grade: A179, SA179

2‍‍Main Features of the Seamless Pipe ASTM A179, ASME SA179:

• High manufacturing accuracy

• High strength

• Small inertia resistance

• Strong heat dissipation ability

• Good visual effect

• Reasonable price

Q:Which is stronger, Wood or Steel?
Back when I was in school we used to have a contest comparing balsa wood bridge designs. The idea was to build the strongest bridge when derated for bridge weight. The strength test was that the 2-ft long bridge was placed between two tables and a garbage can was strung up to the middle of it. Then it was slowly filled with water until the bridge snapped. The can was weighed and divided by the bridge weight to get our scores. I don't see why you couldn't do this to compare wood vs steel. You could find how much load is needed to snap sample rods. The important point is that the rods should be nearly identical in dimensions between the two materials-- this means length and diameter. Also if you're measuring steel, you'd want to choose a relatively thin diameter or a long span or you won't be able to even bend it. Also while I'm pretty sure wood will snap, steel might bend gradually, so you'd have to decide how much deformation you would allow before calling the piece failed. Also if you take this approach be sure to wear safety glasses when running it. In fact it would be a good idea to put a metal shroud around the test structure.
Q:What is the material of steel coil 08F and what brand can be used instead?
20 steel used for various mechanical parts is not subjected to great stress and toughness, such as rod, sleeve, screw, lifting hook; also can be used for manufacturing in 60 pressure and 450 DEG C using non corrosive medium pipes, pipe; can also be used for carbon and cyanide carburized core strength is not the chain, such as bushings, roller, shaft and gear, sprocket and other important.
Q:1 inch thick steel target good for mosin?
it depends on the type of steel. If it's soft steel it may stop the round, but leave a craterthat can causeirregular ricochets. If it's hardened steel (AR500 for example), the bullet will just 'splash' and fragment into little bits. It's better to shoot thin steel so the round goes through than shoot thick soft steel thatforms a crater. No matter what type you're shooting, put it no closer than 100 yards for a full power jacketed round. Try to hang the plateso it is angledslightly towards the ground so anymajor ricochets are directed into the ground and not up or back towards you.
Q:Can gold be added to steel?
Well put it this way you cant gold steel but you can steel gold Kidding but seriously you can but ther would be no point the steel would be weaker and gold is expensive
Q:Steel shafted woods vs Graphite woods?
Graphite shafts are generally better for the amateur golfer. Graphite shafts are more forgiving than stell shafts. With graphite shafts, it is easier to get the ball in the air, and keep your ball trajectory always with good height. For SOME above average golfers and tour professionals, steel shafted woods find their way into their bags. This is because steel shafts have the ability of being more precise in terms of direction. However, to hit steel shafted woods, you need a lot of power and a slightly faster than normal tempo. Point is, if your a golfer that plays this sport for the leisure, or don't want to be stressed, take the graphite shafts. But if you're a single-digit handicapper, and feel you're physically fit ALL THE TIME, then go ahead and try the steel shafts.
Q:Different properties and uses of three types of steel?
Hi, Three Main Types of Steel: 1. Carbon Steel Used in making axes, swords, scissors, cutting tools, vehicle frames. Depends on the % of carbon used how soft the steel will be. 2. Stainless Steel Used in the making of crockery, wrist watches, kitchen utensils, cutlery and surgical equipment. Contains different 11% chromium and some % of nickel. 3. Alloy Steel. Used in making drilling parts, vehicle airplane parts. Stainless steel is also alloy steel but, alloy steel with % of other metals is classified separately.
Q:What is lighter, stronger, and cheaper to buy? Carbon Fiber or High Tensile Steel?
There's different types of strength. Linear strength, the carbon fiber is stronger and more resilient. It's also much lighter, as much as 1/10th the weight of an aluminum body panel (which is lighter than steel). So, by using steel body panels, you would actually likely be ADDING weight to your car. Carbon fiber parts, of course, usually cost 2-3 times as much as their aluminum counterparts. Needless to say, consider the alternative. You can get an aluminum fender, have it be lighter than the steel part, not quite as light as the carbon fiber, but for the price of 1 carbon fiber fender, you could have a both front fenders and the hood in aluminum. Also, for the 1/4 mile, every 100lbs will drop 1/10th of 1 second off your time, which can be lost by screwing up your launch, or in other words, yo won't notice it. As for fuel economy, you won't notice a difference of more than .1-.2mpg. I know this first hand.
Q:Steel Wool + 9V Battery Question...?
Steel Wool 9v Battery
Q:Steel or wood?? About the resistivity?
Wood is made up of elements which are non-metals with a high electron affinity. Specifically, carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, and some nitrogen. Furthermore the covalent bond structure in wood means electrons are tightly bound and cannot move easily from atom to another. Not without adding a great deal of energy to the first. Steel is mostly iron, which is a metal. Metals have low electron affinity. The outer electrons in metals are bound very loosely, so that they can move from atom to atom using almost no energy. Metals tend to conduct electricity very easily.
Q:question on shotguns and steel...?
Damascus steel is is great for blades, but does not have the strength to stand up to smokeless powder pressures.
