Q:What material is strongest? Human bone, steel, or concrete?
I guess I would ask you to define strong then? For example: make a bed and line it with steel, then lie down in it and have someone poor concrete on you. Let it dry overnight and then try and get out. What will break first? Could be anyone of these. If you had a watch made out of bone or concrete and it fell off, it too would break. There you have it amigo, define strong!
Q:Rolled oats VS Steel cut oats?
Steel cut oats taste the best but rolled oats will do just fine too.
Q:how strong is 440 stainless steel?
For throwing knives, 440 isn’t necessarily a bad choice. Does it list whether it is 440c or 440b? That matters somewhat. The advantages of 440 Stainless is that it’s relatively hard (for a stainless), it resists rust significantly, and it’s not so hard that it would shatter or break. On the down side 440 is notorious for not taking or holding an edge, but for a throwing knife, that’s probably not much of an issue. If you’re looking for something to train with, you’re fine here. It’s plenty of steel enough to stick in wood or other targets. Odds are it won't bend if you slam it into some wood. If it lands on concrete, eh, it's going to scratch and all that jazz, and it might hurt the tip if it hits first, but as has been said, you can use a file or grinder to get the tip back.
Q:Is Tempered Steel synonymous with Hardened Steel?
Hardening is the preliminary process. The fully hardened state may be far too brittle for practical use. The tempering process is tailored to reduce the actual hardness, to introduce more flexible alloys. The tempering method employed may be done at relatively low temperatures, but some alloys require prolonged soaking at elevated temperatures. Some may be cooled in air, but others may require quenching to end the process.

Here's a true life example: My Bushmaster AR15 extractor rips the lip/rim off the steel casing leaving the fired round jammed into the chamber. It takes a push rod to remove the casing. Peter Gunn Gave a good answer... Jason mentioned Stainless steel. Stainless steel should be avoided at all cost. Stainless steel is responsible for some really nasty injuries. It has a bad habit of shattering. It is a terrible steel for swords.
Q:what steel anodizes well?
Steel doesn't anodize in the sense that aluminum and some other metals do. However, it can be heat-colored. The trick is to clean the surface first (it must be oxide free), then heat gently until the colors appear. These are called temper colors in steel. They are due to a thin adherent layer of oxide that forms and thickens as temperature is increased. They are quite temperature dependent. As the steel is heated, the first color to appear is pale yellow. This will progress through darker yellows, browns, purples, and blues as the temperature rises. Above blue, the oxide becomes the gray/black color you are apparently getting - this is the result of heating too fast and too hot. See the chart at the site below for colors in plain carbon steel. Note that the temperatures are pretty low - It all starts around 400 F and if you go above 600 F the show's all over.
