Q:Are PVC and neoprene consider as plastic?
PVC .... sure...why not? Neoprene... probably rubber is a better classification.
Q:what is plastic made of?
. Petroleum is drilled and transported to a refinery. 2. Crude oil and natural gas are refined into ethane, propane, hundreds of other petrochemical products and, of course, fuel for your car. 3. Ethane and propane are cracked into ethylene and propylene, using high-temperature furnaces. 4. Catalyst is combined with ethylene or propylene in a reactor, resulting in fluff, a powdered material (polymer) resembling laundry detergent. 5. Fluff is combined with additives in a continuous blender. 6. Polymer is fed to an extruder where it is melted. 7. Melted plastic is cooled then fed to a pelletizer that cuts the product into small pellets. 8. Pellets are shipped to customers.
Q:Why does plastic make everything look ugly and depressing?
complicated aspect. try searching on to google and yahoo. it can assist!
Q:Can hamsters get the flu???and is plastic good for them?
plastic is not good for them if they eat it
Q:Why does my cat chew on plastic???
Well, my cat does it too and we thought it was weird. We thought it was because of the noise. We thought it was because it was fun. But we knew it was bad if they ate it. So we researched it. Turns out that plastic has a type of catnip in it. YES! Catnip!! They are drawn to it because of its taste/smell. Many cats do it, but some just aren't interested. It's safer if you make sure your cat cannot get to the plastic. We eventually had to get garbage cans with the lids on them because one of our kitties learned to dumpster dive! haha. It's Walmart's free toy for your cats XD Hope this helped!!
Q:can you wear plastic in a half healed piercing?
Yep, you can change it. my husband is a tattooist/piercer
Q:Degus and plastic question?
No it is not safe for them to chew on your plastic wheel, Plastic it's self contains many toxins which in time could kill them also if they swallow it , then it can create more problems by not being digest able, this in turn can cause ob ructions in their gut killing them and causing great pain , So best remove the wheel.
Q:Softening heated plastic?
extra suitable stick a chrome steel tube into the strains and clamp them. It sounds such as you have that GM flex-gas plastic line. That stuff gets brittle with age and that they do no longer make it anymore. optimistically it would not crack in yet another spot. do no longer positioned any warmth on that line. i could replace the line and in no way use E85, it truly is not any solid besides so a approaches as capacity is worried.
Q:What are some paint removers that doesn't damage plastic?
It depends on both the plastic and the paint. Most spray paints cannot be easily removed from plastic, but if it's the right kind of plastic, you can put nearly any solvent on it. The best approach is to start with the less aggressive ones, like mineral spirits and goo-gone, and apply a little solvent to a spot that doesn't show. Let it sit there in a drop for a few seconds and wipe it off. If it leaves a hazy or sticky spot, then that solvent will definitely dissolve the plastic. If it wipes cleanly off, it's probably safe to try. If you have no luck you can move on to methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), acetone, and even gasoline, but these are the ones that melt most plastics. If it's a copolymer or resin, then you might be okay with just about any kind of solvent.
Q:Help! Plastic!?
It's certainly not good. Burning plastic is obviously an irritant, and certain types of plastics can release toxic gases (like chlorine) when burned. I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. Any ill effects of breathing plastic smoke would be felt almost immediately. If you feel ok, don't sweat it. If you feel poorly, go to the doctor.
