No, you can use the power cable for a computer on the PS3. It is a standard shape and can be purchased from any good computer shop. The PS2 uses a transformer and the pin alignment is different. Just get a proper cable, they are really cheap anyway.

Using your 220 extension cords and outlet strips on a lower voltage will not damage them or your devices, which of course will be receiving whatever voltage your cord is plugged into. If your talking about the end that looks like an 8 then yes it should work fine. That is a unerversual power cable. However if your PS1 has a small single round hole, i would be careful. Make sure the power is the same, you can check this by looking on the bottom, it should tell you what the conversion is, for ex: like 120v to 6v. Make sure your not throwing to much poser into your ps1.

1) put the hdmi cable in the back of the the console. 2) put the other end in the telly. 3) also make sure the power cable is connected to the console 4) change the telly channel to hdmi That should be it and yes you will get sound :)

Q:I installed a new Power supply after my old one stopped working. I bought a Thermaltake TR2 500W. I connected everything that needed to be connected but it would not turn on. Then i disconnected the 4pin cable that goes to the motherboard, and it turned on. But my monitor didn't detect anything so it just went into quot;sleep modequot;. So every time i connect the 4 pin PCI-E connection to the motherboard it just doesn't turn on. Please help

That okorder /... If you know the PSU is good then you will know the way you wired the motherboard's connections is wrong.
