Home Depot and Lowe's sell carpet by the ft....you would have to by a 1 or 2 x 12 ft piece. Your best bet would be to check with the carpet stores and ask if you could get a ''scrap'' from a installer, they ''dump'' them after a job in a dumpster that's for carpet only. It will be new and clean.

Professional cleaning for turnout rugs is something like ?12 a go ( but they often run special offers so it's worth checking it out) locally I can get them washed, repaired and reproofed at the same time. Washing them at home involves bins, scrubbing brushes and a really long time to dry - not something I'd recommend, the money you'd save by doing it yourself really isn't worth the hassle involved. The stable rugs, coolers etc all go into my washing machine.

Do you have a thick carpet pad beneath it? A good carpet pad will prevent a rug from creeping and creasing. Rotating the rug periodically will also help.

Q:Also... what would be cheaper? Carpet, carpet tile, or laminate?I ask because these stupid companies (Lowes, Home Depot, etc) keep making it seem like there's a difference between carpet and carpet tile and it seems like carpet tile is cheaper.Why would it be cheaper? take some old towels put them down and walk on them that should soak up alot of the water-then put a fan to completely dry the rug.
