- The carpet may be soft, but your chin is a very sensitive part of your body. It never comes in contact with anything - unlike your hands - and it never builds up callous or protective tissue. It is also home to a lot of receptors - so when you rub your chin against the carpet, you are giving it a friction burn and that hurts. Not sure why you might want to rub your chin against the carpet in the first place, but that's why it hurts.

- A 2X3 rug is only 24 X 36... too small for a living room. Your living room would probably be better suited to a 5X8 (60 X 96) or similar. When choosing a rug, ask the salesperson about wash-ability as some fibres are more prone to staining even when spills are promptly cleaned with rug cleaner. Solid colours also tend to show dirt quicker, so look for a rug with flecks of red in two slightly different shades or even a bit of a texture so that certain unavoidable dirt (lint, pet hair, etc) might be concealed a bit. - Hi there! Three are 3 ways I know of and they're all pretty easy and relatively inexpensive... -Double sided tape -Velcro tape -A rug pad (may or may not need double-sided tape to get the rug to stick to the pad) Good luck!

- A shop vac ( wet/dry ) is the best thing. If you've got some clean paint rollers you can roll them across the wet area to help dry it. Otherwise, regular towels will have to do.
