- Q:Well yea, I just got my 8800 gs today... I just recently upgraded from a 7600 gt. Well I've never had to install a card like this. It comes with a power adapter. I have no idea how to install this power adapter. It had a connector for the video card, and 2 other connectors opposite. The 2 other connectors only had 3 pins, but fit in the my 4 pins. I've connected one of the pins to my power supply and have no more 4 pins. I just have 2 quick questions.Will it affect my video card if I only have 1 of the connectors connected to my power supply?andWill it still work if I connected the 3 pin to the 4pin on my power supply, will it still function correctly?

- Q:So I finally bought a quot;boss blues driverand when I got it, I assumed it didn't work, because it didn't turn on, I tried it with an adapter and still nothing. So I decided to take back to the store, the guy who helped me plugged in with a power cable and used a battery, and it worked. MY QUESTION IS; do you need both for it to work? Or is there another option, for just the power cable?
- I have the blues driver and it is my favorite pedal you need one or the other you have too make sure its hooked up right the out put goes in the amp and the input goes in the guitar

- Don't worry too much about what the cord says. Worry about the power requirements on the appliance label, and making sure you are feeding it with the voltage required, with a capacity within the range. In your instance, you will need a converter transformer that converts your outlet voltage to 100V, and has 550 or larger watt capacity.

- Mmm well a cable is a cable if it is a three pin one then it is fine. With powercables you need a certain thickness of the cable for safety. PC cables are able to run 1000Watt... so a 200Watt console is no trouble.
- Q:Hi,I have this Corsair TX 750W PSU and one of the cable have 3 x4pins connectors on it. i use one of the 4pins connector on this cable to power 6 fans on my case and the other two 4pins connectors i use one to connect to two ssd drives and other connector to the IDE 1.5TB hdd. do you think that this single cable is under stress to power up all 9 items? is there rule about psu cable? i am asking this because i thought maybe the psu is affecting my gtx 670 sli performance. i get P11000 score and X5006 using 3dmark 11. so it is a bit low. i should get arouynd P16000+.i have i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz w HT and pc3200 16GB. i hope someone can point out the low score issue and power supply cable question.. i am currently running drivers 320.49
- i have a similar situation, and i use a separate cable for each (HDD, SSD, GPU, DVD) because i think puting the stress on one cable is NOT right, and if that cable got a short circuit all the hardware dies (fails)

- what type of power cord does it use? if its a regular ac input, you could just use any ac plug with the correct amount of power <-- this isn't the recommended choice, just a posibility.
- Q:So I'm currently living in a dorm room, and my tv is hooked up to the campus cable system. A couple of minutes ago, the power went off and turned back on right away, and I was watching tv during this. - Q:I never expected this problem,but I have an HP with a liteon power supply.The thing has these weird clips on the power cables that go into the hard drive.How do I free the hard drive power cables? I have to put in a new power supply for my video card.
- SATA just pulls out.. actually so does molex connectors (for IDE drives).. just very tough sometimes to get them out. If its black and kinda thin, then its probably SATA and they should just pull straight out.
- Q:Im going to get a new graphics card. I am getting the XFX Geforce 9800 GT and it needs 1 six pin PCI Express power cable. It comes with a cable to convert 2 molex cables into 1 six pin pci power cable. Problem is, is that dont have any molex cables available. I have 4 SATA power cables. So if I got a converter to convert 2 SATA power cables into 2 Molex cables into 1 six pin power cable work? Would I lose any voltage/ watts? Please let me know, I got the graphics card for christmas and I dont want to end up with it not even working.
- Given that your PSU has enough power to run the card... I think it might work. However, how can you be out of Molex cables? That makes me think you have a weak PSU.
- Q:When I plug in my xbox that wire with the box on it has a red light instead of a green and ocassionally it turns yellow and my xbox wont turn on how do I fix this
- I'd suggest trying a different outlet. Yellow isnfine cuz when mine is off its yellow. It should be green when you turn it on. If it's still red I'd say give xbox a call or get a new cable. Xbox helps but not that much but u can try
