There are so many choices!

- if it is chemical fiber carpet, then brush it dry with a soft cloth and cut the fiber, and then use the hot steam smoked pure wool carpet for ten minutes. you could also cut off the fiber where is aspfalt with a knife.

- Here's what I do... Place a portion of a brown paper bag on top of the wax. Press the tip of a warm iron gently over the affected area until the wax melts and attaches to the paper. Lift the paper from the carpet. Dab a small amount of denatured alcohol onto the stain if any candle dye is left on the carpet. Sponge with water.
- Q:i'm installng carpet myself and this sort of carpet usually requires the installation of carpet padding underneath. what would happen if i were to lay the carpet without the padding? i'm just trying to cut costs. the floor underneath is some sort of particle wood.
- Carpet padding extends the life of carpet. Better quality padding is more important than carpet grade. It will last longer and look and feel much nicer! Do not glue to wood subfloor! That is just bad advice! Future cleaning would be next to impossible and leave stains from glue and rot out the particle wood.
