I like answer #3. This is also my experienced preference. I always seek out a good supplier, for rubberized vinyl floor covering. this stuff is expensive if one does not have contacts in the surplus industry. I have no flooring concerns with this stuff. It is as tough as a conveyor belt.

Your cat thinks the rug is a litter tray. Next time he wees on the rug make him sniff it and then put him in his litter tray immediately. Do not wait even 10 minutes because that is too late and by then he will have forgotten why you are rubbing his face in his own wee. Keep doing this until he gets the message.

Is it a female or a male cat? There are lots of variables in why a cat will do this. Sometimes it's because the litterbox is objectionable in some way - either the location, the cleanliness of it, the litter, etc. Quite often when a cat goes somewhere besides the litterbox, it's because it is either unhappy about something, or is ill. Urinary tract infections occur often and cats will begin to go somewhere that will draw your attention to it. Perhaps he/she is sick? My male cat started doing the same thing to the throw rug I kept in front of the door. Eventually, we discovered he had a bladder problem which made it difficult for him to go at all. Once the problem had cleared up (he had to have surgery), he started using the box again. As for the smell, it is hard to get rid of. You can get a rug treatment and apply it, or take up the rug/get rid of it. If the cat is going on the rug because something is wrong, it will probably happen somewhere else until the problem is solved.

I have worked with Rit dyes quite frequently and although they are good dies for natural fibers, I am not sure painting a boarder will net the results you desire. First of all, the dye has to be mixed with salt. Because you will not be able to rinse and spin the dye out of he rug, that salt will just remain in your rug when the dye has dried. This may leave salt crystals in your rug along with making it quite stiff. And,because the dye is wet, it will certainly bleed outside of the boarders of the rug. Another problem is the dye bleeding onto the floor causing permanent damage. Even if you can jump over these obstacles, the dye will remain in the rug, full strength because it can not be rinsed and spun out, so it can easily transfer the color from the rug to your shoes to other areas of the house. And, heaven forbid, if the rug gets wet at a later date it will reactivate the dye and boy I will hear you cursing from here. So, you see, using this type of dying process is really full of challenges and there is too much to go wrong so I do not think it is worth the risk. However, there may be other dyes I am unaware of. Do an internet search on dyes and also rug dying to get some helpful hints and possible products that will net you the results you are after. I have lots of resources that I will check on and edit my answer if I get more information.

Q:I have light carpets (builder special!) and a 2 yr. old and a 4 yr. old. I keep them clean (the carpets and the kids!), but hate to pay for the professional carpet cleaners all that often. I often use Woolite OXY Clean, but I just keep finding more spots. Seems a daily battle. Does anyone know a quot;home remedyquot; I can use to spot remove? I have tried Oxy Clean, and even tho my carpet it light it has bleached some places.

Use a little laundry soap. If you use too much you will have a soapy mess, but I little will do it.

Q:Water was spilled on his rug a few days ago and now the smell of skunk where the water was spilled is becoming overwhelming. Tried scrubbing it with soap but once it dried the smell came back. Your are gonna need to google this to prove i'm right because it sounds crazy. Tomato juice takes out that horrid urine/skunk stink. A skunk sprayed the front of my door once it was horrible. Its important to know if its carpet or a removable rug. Either way the liquid that made the stinky spot undoubtedly soaked through to the floor. Pour some canned tomato juice around then onto the spot before you go to bed let it sit over night. The next day vacuum it up with your wet/dry vac scrub it with plain old dish soap water. Then vacuum that up to remove the tomato stain. I HATE FABREEZE. It does NOT clean. It is only a fabric perfume that temporarily covers odors. When the perfume goes away the smell leaks through the dirty area again. If you do NOT want to use tomato boil two cups of water have you shop vac ready por the boiling water on the carpet vacuum it up at almost the same time. Repeat. the boiling water will kill any live bacteria sanitize the area. Which ever method you choose put a dry towel on the spot after you vacuum it walk on the towel you might need to fold the towel use tow or three of them to get it dry.

If the combined area of the three rugs is 200 sq meters, and you are only covering 140 sq meters of floor, then 200 - 140 = 60 sq meters must be overlapped (meaning it is covered by either 2 or three rugs). Now since you say that 24 sq meters is covered by exactly two rugs, that means that the area covered by three rugs is 60 - 24 sq meters = 36 sq meters covered by three rugs. Hope this helps.
