Q:Rug question! please answer ?
Rugs are normally synthetic so don't need the same daily care as leather tack. They are also not expected to last as long. If taken care of well leather tack can out last your horse, so it's well worth caring for them properly. You want to keep the rugs clean and dry for the health and comfort of your horse, but how this is done varies form owner to owner. In my case: My horse wears a sheet (or fleece cooler when it gets colder) next to her skin and I wash it regularly in the washing machine so she has a clean layer. Over the top she wears her turnout rug. When I groom her I first brush over the rug with a dandy (if it's dry) and spot clean if necessary. Then I remove it and put it over a fence or stable door and bang it against it. I can remove the sheet and shake it more forcibly (the turnout is too heavy for that). If the sheet or cooler is wet at all I hang them to dry and replace it with my spare (I have two of each). If the turnout is soaked through I'll replace it with a stable rug and pay a fee to use a heater to dry the turnout quickly (if I didn't the rug would probably still be wet that night when my horse is turned out out again). It's usually fine though and I use the turn out as a stable rug too, it fits better then the stable rug, and modern rugs can be breathable and waterproof. In spring both the turnout and stable rugs are either washed by hand or sent away for cleaning (my washing machine isn't big enough to take them) and the turnout is reproofed. It's also important to remove and replace the rugs at least once a day even if you don't ride. The horse must be groomed as sweat and grease can built up under the rug and the horse will also enjoy a good scratch with the brushes as they can't do that for themselves when they are rugged.
Q:How to get throw up stain out of carpet?
Keep okorder.com., for your part of the country. Stain Magic is only available to professional carpet/upholstery cleaners as it should be extracted after use. Take care of your expensive carpet investment, call a pro for difficult carpet cleaning problems.
Q:Can I wash my rug in a top load?
I washed a couple of rugs not long ago I made a solution of laundry detergent and poured it all over the rug I hosed it down with a pressure sprayer I repeated it a couple of times, if you do not have access to an outdoor hose do it in the bathtub
Q:Which Color Rug will go with dark wooden furniture, pls advice.?
As okorder.com/ We're always taught stay within the color families but provide contrast but you already DO have contrast with white and brown so i would suggest something warmer / soft like a rug mixed with the brown found in your furniture and perhaps a baby blue: 99ccff, ccccff, ccffff Warm browns: ff9933, colors like that but i cant suggest too much until i know what style furniture you have / your decor tastes etc but the color wheel is always a good start and you might wanna mix it and match like Old Style with modern rug or Modern rugs with Old earthy colors ....good luck and i'd LOVE to see it when you're done :)
Q:Nail polish+ carpet any suggestions?
I have another suggestion. Two products that are more concentrated that nail polish remover; -- Goof-Off (NOT Goo-Gone). Try local hardware stores or Ace; big-box stores don't carry this, I think. -- Bestine. Try Art's supplies stores. Both of these are very heavy-duty cleaners; you HAVE to have serious ventilation, like open windows and fans. But they are fabulous cleaners for tough spots. I blotted an ink-pen leak off of a raincoat with Goof-Off and it was like it had never been there after one blot. I also got some stuff that looked like melted silly putty out of carpet at rental property with Goof-Off. It took repeated pours/blots with a lot of paper towels, but it did dissolve the stuff. I found out about Goof-Off from a construction contractor. I think Bestine is raw chemical in nail polish remover. It is used to dissolve rubber cement and clean paste-up wax in graphics shops. I used to work with it, and it's a nasty but effective chemical. Just read/follow precautions on their labels, and be sure to test for color-fastness. If you do use one of these, be prepared to bag up the rags/paper towels etc. in several layers, and get them OUT. The fumes will permeate regular bags, and fill up your house and give you a major headache, aside from the risk from fumes igniting. I kid you not, be careful. They do the job but they are DUE respect.
Q:Tea stain on carpet!!?
Try blotting the tea stain with a white cloth or paper towel. Do not rub, as that will only spread the stain and cause it to possibly set deeper into the carpet fibers. Continue blotting with clean towels until you get most of the tea stain up. Blotting is repeatedly pressing directly down onto the spill. Step2 Mix a half cup of white vinegar with one cup of warm water and apply it to the tea stain using a spray bottle. If you don't have a spray bottle, you can carefully pour the mixture on the stain. Step3 Blot up the vinegar mixture using clean white cloth or paper towels until the towels come up clean. Step4 Make a solution of one teaspoon dish detergent to one cup warm water, and apply to the tea stain if the vinegar did not remove the tea stain completely. Blot as much up as possible, removing the soap mixture and the tea stain. Step5 Rinse the carpet by spraying or gently pouring clear water on the stain. Blot as much up as possible, and let the area air dry for at least one hour. Step6 Check the area after about an hour. If any of the tea stain remains visible, mix one teaspoon of peroxide in one cup of warm water, spray the stain and blot until the stain is gone.

This Site Might Help You. Q:Carpet Question . . .Please . . .?
We have a rug doctor that we use at home and with rentals and with extremely hot water and a good carpet cleaner the stains do come out. The trick is to saturate the padding below as well as the carpet and extract it so the stain comes all the way out. Vinegar rinse helps the smell go away and does clean as well. (white vinegar) As well as a good pet stain cleaner you can purchase We have 7 year old carpets and they always come clean if you keep them that way. Rug Doctors can be rented as well as bought. If not some of the over the counter types just do not deep clean steam is the best . Good Luck :)
Q:Does a rug pad have to have the exact dimensions as the rug?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Does a rug pad have to have the exact dimensions as the rug? I'm thinking about buying a 9'2 x 12' 11 rug, but there are no rug pads with these dimensions. The closest pad size would be 8 x 10. Is it okay that the rug pad doesn't fit exactly with the rug or do I need to get a custom rug pad?
Q:which is the best tape to use to keep my area rugs in place on top of my carpet?
Do not place rubber backed area rugs or any rug that cannot breathe over a carpet as the carpet on the bottom will discolor to a yellow tint that is permanent.
