FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:Is this Ceramic Tile?
Sure is a ceramic tile. Could be a porcelain bodied tile with a glazed surface but they are all classified as ceramic. Ceramic with a slightly beveled edge for a bit different look. Getting the name is almost impossible unless it came from a magazine where you can get it or at least the brand name of the manufacturer. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q:Spray Glaze for tile?
It's called re-glazing. There are companies out there that re-glaze bathtubs and ceramic tile. A bathtub can cost about $700 to re-glaze. Home improvement centers have re-glazing kits but they are only as good as the applicator. What's more important than the re-glazing kit, is the preparation. The glaze on the green tile needs to be dulled by acid washing. If you go over the green tile with it's slick surface, the re-glazing will peel off...
Q:Does Home Depot or Lowes cut tiles?
Yeah, some of them do. Just go back to the tile section and ask. I know my local Lowe's does. They charge per tile I think. I personally recommend renting a wetsaw or buying a cheap wetsaw. You can buy one for about $50-75 if you buy a cheap one. The reason why I say that is because trying to get the cuts right when you are running back and forth isn't the easiest to do, especially if you have a lot of tiles to cut. There were many times when I did tiling in my kitchen that I needed to adjust how I cut the piece. For the cheap ones, I'd recommend buying a cheap large Rubbermaid container that isn't real tall to set the wetsaw in. It makes cleaning up a lot easier. If you have only a very few tiles to cut, then it might be better to have Lowe's or Home Depot cut them. The manual tile cutters work ok as long as you don't have to work on small tiles or very thick tiles. For my kitchen I had small thick tiles, so using a manual tile cutter didn't make sense. Manual tile cutters don't really cut the tile. They score the tile then break it. That's why thick small tiles work poorly on them. Manual tile cutters tend to work better for large or thin tiles like floor tiles or bathroom wall tiles like porcelain tiles. If the floor tiles are large floor tiles the manual tile cutter/breaker would be your best/cheapest option.
Q:crackling sound under my cermamic tiles?
Tedr is right.. W/O seeing it its hard to tell.. Get down on your hands and knees and rap on it w/ your knuckles.. If it sounds hollow and then solid on another part that isn t making sounds then more than likely it s loose tile and just the gout and pressure is holding it together..Seen it many times.. Trdr has many of causes right too.. But its hard to say just what it is GL
Q:British brand tiles prices
Tell the landlord do not like to listen to, you said the brand I was in the tile industry for so long, I basically have not heard. The The The The It may be my personal ignorant it, Oh ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ general you said the brand 800 * 800 market price (if the business is not black heart) probably: 25-40 between each piece, if beyond this price You buy it then. The The The The The Oh, if higher than the price of the proposed landlord to see: the new Pearl Group's brand, Mona Lisa, Hongyu, Enuo, the king, strong and other brands, are more reliable products in the end of the product.Or I answer those friends of those words: In fact, what brand is not important, it is important that you do not understand the tiles, teach some of the industry to identify tiles good or bad way, hope to help you:
Q:ugly green kitchen tile!!?
You okorder.com/ and in the search bar (make sure you check site instead of recipe) type in 4 Wall Projects with Glaze it is the 3rd project called Tile Turnaround and gives step by step instructions. Good Luck!
Q:Do you hang a bathroom sink over tile? Or cut the tile to fit around it?
Definately take the toilet off then tile then put the toilet back on. If the sink can't be removed you will have to tile up to it and probably have to cut tiles to fit near the base. If the tile doesn't look right near the base you can put molding around the sink cabinet to hide the imperfections. But definately remove the toilet.
Q:What is the best thickness of the tile?
Depends on the kitchen or the living room. The Kitchen is generally 9mm. Living room in general 10mm
Q:tiling around fireplace.. need HELP!?
I don't know about horrible but certainly impractical; unless the fireplace is merely decorative; or an electric one. TILE is usually fired at approx. 2000 degrees; essentially creating glass. It's highly unlikely you'd ever have a fireplace fire get that hot...Hopefully. The issue is more that constant stress on the tile in heating and cooling; and the effect on any mortar you choose. Beyond that is the issue of the tile being hidden most often; and the need to clean it often to be able to view it when no fire is present. Fireplaces are crafted using Brick, that allows no such effects from temp variations, and offers some level of insulation against the heat produced within the confines of the fireplace. Certainly you might consider tiling a hearth; or creating a hearth that you can tile; but it seems a bit defeating to tile into a fireplace. Tile; especially floor type; are created through different heat ranges and substances; to be graded in durability. Assume something like A being the least durable, and D being the most durable. That equates to normal traffic and wear. I'll assume someone will tell you; Sure; there are heat resistant tiles and mortars but I'll go back to my notion of the aesthetics and ask why bother? Steven Wolf
Q:removing rug and installing tile?
It depend on how big the job is. You need to tear out the carpet and the padding, the tack strip around the floor need to come up too. Then you got to clean the floor good. If the floor is concrete it should easily clean, if it wood it might take longer. Now it depend on the tile or ?, I would recommend something that would be easy and the best bet would be vinyl tile or 12ft sheet goods, it depend on the layout of the house or ?....So So I would get expert advice from a flooring store, avoid Home depot or Lowes. Good Luck.
