FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:I want to replace my wood flooring with porcelain wood like tile because i have a dog but my uncle who is a contractor said because of the house not sitting on concrete foundation ( meaning you can go under the house) i can only install vinyl or wood flooring again because tile is too heavy but um we have tile in the kitchen and restrooms and my other uncle who has a two story home has tile upstairs so i dont get it
well your home must surely have some kind of foundation I put tile floors in wood framed homes all the time you just need to be sure to have a strong enough subfloor without deflection for a lasting job I prefer the joists have 3/4 tongue and groove plywood as the first layer the old 3/4 x 6 boards work fine if its not 3/4 plywood, just be sure to screw them tight to the joists then a layer of 1/2 BC grade plywood, the cheaper CDX grade will have unwanted voids then a 1/4 cement based tile backer mortared and nailed to the floor then tile on top of that set with mortar the new schluter ditra subfloor system claims it will be enough over just one layer of 3/4 plywood for any tile install but I have not used the product yet
Q:More specifically, do you lay the tile right against the floorboard with no groat visible? Or would you put a spacer in between the floorboard and the tile so that it you have grout along the edge?
The best way is to remove the baseboard trim and tile under it leaving a 1/4 to 3/8 gap to the wall. Then cover that with the trim. If you absolutely do not want to remove the trim then you need to put a spacer along the wall so that all the tile is layed uniform. A batten as the previous poster stated is a good idea. You then want to remove the batten when the tile is set. Do not grout up to the wall however, it leaves no room for expansion and you will end up with cracked grout or worse, ballooning in the middle. You want to buy a caulk that is the same color as the grout (they sell them at most home improvement stores). Use this to caulk the seam at the edge between the tile and the trim.
Q:Are you decorating the house with tiles or wood? why? How do you choose!
Advantages and Disadvantages of Selecting Wood Flooring The advantages of the wood floor: In general, the floor has four distinct advantages: beautiful, durable; good comfort; use of geothermal heating and thermal insulation performance; price is slightly cheaper, and the construction is simple, free installation. Specifically, the floor has a beautiful, durable characteristics, natural wood species, can be a good performance of a person's quality of life. In general, the high-end brand of composite wood flooring products in the price of 90 to 120 yuan per square meter. In the high-end brands of ceramic tiles in the price of 150 to 250 yuan per square meter. Wood flooring installation method is simple, the general dealer prices are included in the auxiliary materials and construction costs, so you can let it free installation, you can save a lot of costs.
Q:I have a pistol grip glass cutter with a carbide cutting wheel....can this be used to cut ceramic tile, or am I better off to get tile nippers?
It really depends on the tile. All tile cuts differently. The width of your cut even makes a difference. You basically have to test your tile to find out. Most tile cuts easily. Tiles from Italy and Brazil can be a nightmare requiring slow water cuts. A set of hand nippers is a must.....to clean cuts and make inside corners......as well as cuts for plumbing and electrical. Shop around.....there are some single use tile tools available on the market.
Q:i used the baskup board, the adhesive, then put the adhesive on each tile.
I would assume that you are talking about tiles on the floor ..that can be a number of things..#1 the floor has movement...should have 2 or more layers of structural plywood or similar product with joints overlapped...and be 1.25 thickness or more...#2 if you used adhesive (glue) is it for floor tiles and are they of the right size...most larger ties need a thinset type mortar...#3..are the tiles you used floor tiles...wall tiles should not be used on the floor...#4..if the adhesive does not support the entire tile any void could create a weak spot and direct pressure would crack the tile..#5.. the actual floor support may not be strong enough or the span too long thus you would get deflection (movement) if the floor moves or flexes your tiles will loosen or crack.
Q:I am making a movie for school and i need to hang things from our ceiling to the ground. The problem is is that the ceiling is an acoustic tile and i‘m not sure if it will hold enough. (This is one of the older acoustic tiles with all of the holes in them.
Been there, done that... Can't happen. What you can do, however, is go to the hardware store and buy new ones OR if replacing them is out of the question, get a can of KILZ paint primer. It is the best stain blocker on the planet. Once you cover it with Kilz, it WILL still show through the Kilz, itself, but once you have one or two coats of regular pain over it, you will never see the blood again.
Q:What is Spanish Tile, why is it called Spanish Tile, and is this considered a good flooring option? And how does it feel in summer and winter (concrete slab floor below)?
Mexican tile, also known as Spanish tile, is a broad term used to describe a number of tile materials on the market, ranging from saltillo to hand made ceramic tiles sporting traditional Spanish and Mexican designs. Regardless of the type of tile you choose, you can count on Mexican tile to add a warm, pastoral, south of the border flair to any space in which you have it installed. Saltillo Tiles Saltillo tile is by far the most common of the Mexican and Spanish tiles found on the market. It is made from raw clay traditionally pressed by hand, and has an earthy, rough, almost terra cotta look to it. Depending on the firing, saltillo tiles range from deep yellow to deep orange in color, and come in a large variety of tile shapes, everything from your basic square to hexagonal and more elaborate patterns. Because of the nature of the clay and the more traditional form of production, these tiles are more porous than other ceramic tiles. As such, they should always be sealed with a quality sealant to protect them from stains and spills, which they would readily soak up if not protected. They will also need to be periodically re-sealed. Don't think of this as a downside, however. Like with hardwood, refinishing your saltillo will revive your floor, keeping it looking like new far past the time when other ceramics will have lost that newly installed look. On a final note, saltillo tiles get their name from the town in Mexico where they were originally, and still are, manufactured. If you get the real deal, and not an imitation variety, you can expect to find an odd chicken foot print or other animal print in your tiles when they are installed. Place these tiles in a prominent place in your tiling project for a great conversation starter and enjoy the rustic feel such imperfections will add to your finished product. Most tile floors, including Spanish tile, will feel cool to bare feet in both winter and summer.
Q:We have recently had our bathroom refitted, and tiled floor to ceiling with large ceramic tiles in a brick pattern. However now finished it is obvious that they are uneven. The tiler said it is the tiles. Is this likely or is it just a bodged job - he re-platerboarded the walls prior to tiling so they should be flat?
Most tiles are made to be flat and there are some that aren t. On occasion ( and I m not defending your tiler) tiles can be warped and uneven. Especially when you get into the bigger sizes or tiles that are a bit cheaper. Porcelains tend not to do this but unfortunately some times happens in ceramics. I d have to see a bare or uninstalled ( several tiles) and look at them. So if you have extra tiles look carefully at a hand ful. Set them on a flat surface , look down the edges or use a straight edge on them. Like I said, I m not defending him or her, it does happen and no amount of adjusting will fix a warped tole. It they knew about this while setting the tile, you should have be notified. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q:rented an apartment about 1 year ago.My landlord put a brand new bathroom in including ceramic floor tiles,I just noticed cracks in 6 or 7 of the tiles but I do not remember doing any damage that would cause this. The only thing I did was flood the bathroom but mopped it up right away and the floor is waterproof anyway. The landlord said those tiles where very expensive and said they should last at least 10 years before they crack, and now she is taking the cost of the tiles including installation cost out of my security deposit.
hi desire, you will possibly desire to touch the tradesman who laid the tiles to rectify the priority. It feels like they did no longer lay the suitable underlay for tiles. Are the tiles laid onto a concrete floor or wood floor? in the event that they have been laid on concrete, did they first lay that concrete in basic terms before tiling, or is it a preexisting concrete floor? If the concrete became basically laid in basic terms before tiling, and then the tiles laid right this moment quickly after, it relatively is obtainable the concrete has cracked and hence cracking the tiles. If tiles laid onto wood floor, did they first positioned down the ideal 'tile underlay' for wood flooring? without this underlay, the tiles does not adhere appropriate to the wood and can quickly raise. There might additionally be a concern with the adhesive that the tradesman used. Regardless, I strongly propose you touch the guy who laid the tiles to get them to evaluate and rectify the priority at their cost, no longer yours. If this physique of techniques does not confirm the situation call the corporation of the tiles and additionally the best contractor who put in the showering room. i'm hoping this became of help to you desire.
Q:We have an installer, whom seems to be doing it wrong. I can‘t find any website that explains how to install tile the way he is doing it. Can you tell me if this sounds correct?First he puts mortar on the bare cement floor, then put down versa-bond or a bonding agent.. and then he puts more mortar on the tile and then lays it down.. Does this sound right to you? Thanks
it sounds like to me he's using a method called mud setting the tile, used on floors that concrete is low in spots, and sounds to me he knows what he is doing,
