FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

5. How to choose bathroom tiles? Porcelain tiles or glazed tiles?

Currently used in the bathroom tiles with glazed tiles (mainly from price considerations, some high-end can choose tiles, notice to choose tiles), divided into Shinny and Matt two kinds. Light color makes people feel shinny, but the bathroom more appropriate to create a warm feeling, so the best choose is uses matte, the shinny feels more soft and not dazzling.

Q:I will be doing my first tile job soon. I will be removing/replacing the tile on my kitchen countertop. I have got most everything figured out with the exception of removing the existing tile on the backsplash. I believe the tile was placed directly over sheet rock (tract home). Any suggestions on how to remove the tile without too much damage to the sheetrock. If I have to do sheetrock replacement I don‘t think I could ever duplicate the texture now applied to the surronding sheet rock Thanks for any tips.
Well you can use a hammer and a 1/2 chisel with safety glasses to start. As for sheetrock replacement...since it will be under the tile, the texture wont be seen and shouldnt be a problem. The coat that you will use to adhere the tile to the sheetrock will cover any inperfections caused by the tile removal. Are you talking about sheetrock or wonderboard?, sheetrock is also called drywall. If the base behind the tile is a hard ,cement based backing then just adhere the tile to that. I have never heard of anybody setting tile to sheetrock since it isnt waterproof. Good luck.
Q:I have never tiled before. I have a 3 x3 ft entrance in my house. I would like to remove the old tile and re tile it. How long should this take? and can I just tile over the old tile or does it have to be removed? but mostly how long should it take me to do?
Tiling over the original tile is not a good idea. The door in your entry way will most likely hit anyway. The time involved will mostly be in the prep of the area ie taking up the old tile and thin set. After that is done mixing the new thin set and laying the new tile should go rather quickly. You then have to wait 24hrs to grout the tile. The actual tiling should only take a couple of hours and then of course the time till you can grout.
Q:I have some ceramic tiles in my kitchen floor that I would like to paint. Would this be possible?
It is possible to paint tiles. Both Dulux and Crown offer Tile Specific paints in a small range range of colours. However this is meant more for bathroom wall tiles or kitchen splash back wall tiles. I would not advice this for floor tiles as with time this paint will scratch off etc due to traffic. Ronseal do a floor paint that they class as 'diamond hard' though again depending on the glaze and material of the floor tile this might still be unsuitable. Your bast bet would be to lino over the existing tiles or rip up and put down new ones. If we can help in any way please visit our website....
Q:I have extra floor tiles that i had my kids paint and i want to put them together for my husband for fathers day. any ideas on how to do that?
well you can put the tiles somewhere else? Maybe buy some more and make a cool tile medallion in your backyard or something? That seems to be pretty popular !
Q:I have an on going problem in my kitchen. Same time tile floor was done in our home but kitchen is the problem. It was done 3-4 years ago by a contractor, however he never showed up his face to help us. He left some grout with us and said if ever the grout pops up then we can mix it in the water and fill with this mixture. The grout from the kitchen floor always comes out. Underneath, the kitchen is wood floor. The kitchen is on the second floor. Our family room is also on the second level but no problem to that floor Please help.
Flexible Tile Grout
Q:I was wondering about space between tile when laying tile floor. I have seen online and in person tile floors(don‘t know marble or porcelain or what) where it is completely flat and smooth and the tiles appear butted together. I prefer this look as opposed to the typical tile floor with grout lines that are shallower than the tops of the tile. I was wondering how to get this flat look when every where I have read online says you cannot or at least should not butt tiles together. I hope I described what im looking for accurately and am hoping to get some options. Again I am looking for a flat smooth surface nothing with the dips or recesses of the grout lines. how is that done??
Installing a floor with that kind of precision is not easy. Any mismatch in elevation and you can end up with a sharp corner or edge to cut your foot as you walk along. Personally, I'd opt for the grout lines. But yes, I understand you don't want them. So I guess I shouldn't have even bothered answering because I do not answer your question. Sorry. Best of luck with your project. '')
Q:Would like to tile my bathroom floor. House is on a slab, bathroom has existing laminate flooring.1. Do I need to remove the laminate flooring or can I tile on top of it?2. Do I need to install a backer board first?3. Any tips I need when tiling around toilet plumbing and reinstalling the toilet?
Absolutely cannot tile atop laminate. Neither ceramic or vinyl tile can go atop a laminate. You said your on a slab so you can bond right to that normally . You won t know what you ll need as far as to treat the slab until you pull stool and laminate. Stool should go right back on w/ a wax ring if laminate is down now. I don t chance it. I get the slightly higher wax ring w/ a sleeve when I re install a stool. When tiling around a stool flange just cut/nip the tile almost up to it, you have almost an inch of play. Any questions e mail me direct thru my avatar and check my qualifications there GL
Q:My parents want to re-tile their bathroom. My dad says he can use regular tiles in the bathroom, bathroom being the floor and the open-shower walls(the only thing stopping the water spillage is plastic and fabric on a rail), but my mom says it needs bathroom tiles and bathroom grout for the job. Any help would definitely be appreciated!!!
We put ceramic tile and grout in our bathrooms and kitchen. Never heard of bathroom tiles. The kids get the whole bathroom wet when they bathe and we haven't had any problems with it in over 10 years.
Q:What type of drill bit should I buy to cut into 4 x 4 ceramic tile on the wall? Can I place the bit into a router? The hole is 10 x 10 and I need it to be 10 1/2 x 10 1/2. There is 5/8 DW w/ metal studs behind it.
One problem I have found with cutting tiles using a rotating cutter - ANY rotating cutter - is that they can leave tiny chips on the edge of the glazed surface of the tile. If you put masking tape where you will cut - before you mark the cut line makes sense - it will stop that. The chipping is on quite a small scale, so you may only notice it if you look for it, and so you might not feel you need to do it at all, but if you do, you've got a way.
Q:what is vitrified tiles
Vitrified tile is a tile that has undergone a certain process that gives it extremely low porosity, and thus, very low water absorption. This makes the tile hard and strong, as well as stain resistant.
