FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:Kitchen Sink Tile Backsplash ?
tiling directly to plywood is not recommended for 2 reasons. the first is that specific products must be used to guarantee its adhesion to the surface and the second is that you would have the thickness of the plywood showing at the edges. it would look odd and incomplete. just pick some tile you like from lowes, home depot or you local tile distributor (which offers better quality tile than home depot or lowes, and usually at just as comparable prices) and adhere them to the wall with either mastic or thinset. mastic should only be used for ceramic tiles under 6 inches and not for glass tiles or marble. your best bet is just to buy thinset. ultraflex II from lowes is a good product. a tumbled marble on a diagonal with stone accent pieces placed throughout would look nice and not break the bank, since your backsplash space isn't more than 15 square feet. mosaic tiles would look nice as well and wouldn't be too costly. the great thing about such a small backsplash space is that you can splurge on the tiles that range from $3-$10 a foot if you want. a 4x4 or 6x6 ceramic tile in your preferred color would look nice on a brick pattern if you aren't into the tumbled marble. i'm including some links to some backsplash pictures. the 1st couple are specifically tumbled marbled designs and the last couple are just other different options. good luck!
Q:what size grout joints for ceramic tile?
It depends on the size of your tile. A lot of 4.25 inch tiles have spacers built in. When you put the tiles in it will give you a 1/8 in gap for you grout. I use 1/4 inch spacers when installing 12 inch tiles.
Q:Ho do you redo tiles?
I've used several off the shelve tile cleaners and many of them work wonderfully. However, if you have ugly tile, not just dirtly tile, then a cleaner is not going to do the trick. Painting tiles is a very short term solution. Paint will not last long on a tile surface. When it starts coming off you're likely to have something that's even worse. The cost of replacing the tiles yourself will be very low, ultimately depending on the surface underneath the tile and your choice of tile. I've done it a few times in my own house and have found that good looking tile floors are one of the easier do-it-yourself jobs. It seems a lot more difficult than it turns out to be. The cost of a book, one day rental of a tile cutting saw, tile of your choice, and other supplies should only run you about $100 to $200 and yet the results will be truly remarkable. I'd count on a good three days if this is your first tile job. This sounds like a lot of time, but you'll only have problems if you're in a hurry -- so don't rush it.
Q:Bathroom tiles seepage
If there is a problem with the waterproof layer, you must tear down the tiles, the walls hit the waterproof layer, see the inner wall is better, and then re-putty putty, re-do waterproof layer of the wall, and then paving tiles, Generally this method is more complex, so it is recommended to check again. Followed by the rupture of water pipes lead to seepage, this situation, when the need to check the water pipe to test to see if there is leakage, if it is due to damage caused by water pipes, to immediately find the leak, open the wall to replace the water pipe The If only because of moisture caused by wall water seepage, so only need to pay more attention to the daily ventilation and cleaning of the bathroom can be.
Q:seeking advice on cracking grout/creaking tiles?
A couple possibilities, the use of such a large trowel wasn t needed. The thin set may not have been set up before foot traffic was on it,and the bond was broken, leading to loose tiles and thus grout cracking. The thinset may have been to thick or thin leading to not bonding or poor bonding. The grout may have been to watery and thus weak from to much water or to much water was used in washing the tile when grouting. What are you wanting to do? Repair the tiles?Regrout? To find out if the tiles are loose, get down and rap your knuckles on the tile with the cracked grout and then off to the side in a less used area. If the tiles you suspect are loose, there will be a hollow sound especially along the edge of the tile.It should sound firm on the other area. You don t need a handy man for this. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q:can I paint over bathroom tile?
You can get tile paint, but I've never seen a good finish with it. It'd be better to change the tiles.
Q:What the tiles do
Q:wood floors vs tile floors?
I don't know why people are posting tile. I believe hardwood floors are classier/ nicer/ easier to decorate/ easier to clean. Just think of the fact that the grout lines between the tiles will get absolutely nasty after a year, specially in highly transited areas such as kitchens bathrooms.
Q:Replacing vinyl tile squares?
Get the biggest hammer you can find, the biggest screw driver, the biggest pry bar and just before your hubby gets home place them on the floor and act like your getting ready to go at it, I bet it won't be long before you can watch how its done :) My mother would do this and it worked ever time.
Q:Should my new tile floor be installed under the refrigerator?
Like most all other said, tile under the fridge , waiting a few extra days before replacing such a heavy item..The bath vanity can go either way but if its down after , it s a much cleaner look to have it set atop the tile. Plus you don t have to have grout up to and have it cracking where it meets the vanity ( it will)...Now one thing I can t pass up.. Porcelain IS NOT a natural product . It DOESN t need to be sealed prior to or after. This is a man made product , fired just like ceramic but a much better quality most often.. Seal grout after the proper time after grouting with a penetrating sealer.. Any flooring question ( especially tile) e amil me through my avatar and check my qualifications there
