Q:What kind of plastic are PEZ dispensers made out of?
I would recommend you contact PEZ to be certain. However, if I had to guess, I would say they are primarily plastic #5, PP, and more likely than not, there are several types of plastic in the dispenser. Additionally, because of the metal springs inside, the PEZ dispenser would be discarded from a recycling program because of the difficulties associated with separating the different materials. Generally speaking, outside of electronics and aseptic cartons (the paper cartons some milks and orange juice come in), there isn't a big market for mixed-material recyclables. The small amount of plastic and metal that could be possibly be recovered from the dispenser are not worth the time it would take to disassemble the piece. It is possible the company offers some sort of recycling or take-back program, though I couldn't find anything about it on their website. Hope this helps.
Q:gasloine eats plastic?
Gas cans are made of a harder plasticif you put gas on any soft type plastic it will melt ,like a lunch bag or a soft white coffee cup any one of them are going to melt.a milk jug are a coke bottle are one of those type of plastic will work with gas .
Q:Melted plastic?
peanut butter and ice cubes. ice cubes make it brittle and the peanut butter helps it release from the metal stove bottom. ventilate the room those plastic fumes are dangerous.
Q:Kinds Of Plastics?
complicated situation. browse onto bing and yahoo. it could help!
Q:Gold fish aquariums plastic=harmful?
If it was made for housing animals it is safe.
Q:how to work with hard plastics?
Perhaps a blowtorch. Oh, and that's what she said.
Q:Static electricity in plastic factories? Science test!!?
complex stuff. try searching onto google and yahoo. it may help!
Q:What is the effect of calcium carbonate in plastics?
The first link below is an excellent tutorial on fillers in plastics. CaCO3 filler is used to reduce cost and to impart structural rigidity to plastics. It is used in both thermosetting resins like polyesters and thermosetting resins like polypropylene. CaCO3 does not impart a significant amount of strength to the plastic, like happens with fiberglass and carbon fiber, but its effect on the plastic allows the manufacturer to make products with some improvement in properties like compression. Most mineral fillers like CaCO3 result in a reduction in the tensile strength of the plastic. Hope this is helpful to you. JIL HIR
Q:Is plastic bags really better than recycled paper bags?
I absolutely support it. But I am not in favor of using the paper bags either. Buy some eco-friendly re-usable bags that you can take with you grocery shopping. They have a much larger capacity than the standard plastic and paper bags and can be washed and reused for years. Plus no more plastic bas at the landfill. Think about how many plastic bags you go home with every time you grocery shop. Now think of all those bags clogging the landfills and our streets..... ICKY..... Be the change you want to see in the world!!!!
Q:Plastic in racecars.?
I'm defianelty not a professional but I hear UHMW is waterproof so you might try using that around the windshield wiper tubs. I think Torlon or Plavis can take some heat but maybe try it on a model racecar before going full out. Like I said I'm no expert.
