Q:My family are coming to my house for Christmas dinner this yearWe've just had a big new house built and will be having a baby around the very end of Nov or the very 1st of DecSo any ideas to side dish recipes I can make with my turkey? Any holiday drink ideas as well? Thank you!
The towing companies have obviously seen and are familiar with these attemptsI recommend either being friends with the church staff who maintain the parking lots or just get a parking permit at ur schoolIts really not worth the trouble.
Q:Im 24 years old but have aspirations to be an inventorI have a ton of projects I would like to start but lack the necessary toolsI dont have a ton of money so I cannot buy a whole workshop.Im looking for type of saw that can be used for almost anything (aluminum, wood, metal, drywall, etc.) A type of saw that can cut unusual designs and shapes from most mediums would be greatHowever Im not sure what saws can handle these various applications?I was thinking along the lines of a Rotozip (the commercials make it seem like they can cut anything), or a circular saw, or a jigsaw. What would be best?
I would do what Justin wrote and as far as paint goes I would use small jars of different color Acrylic lacquer paints to paint your art workLacquer is what they use on Autos and is very hard and holds up in the elementsAlso when you are done I would use a can of clear lacquer spray to give it a few coats to protect the paintLet dry between coats. It then should last for 8 or many more years Clean the box real good down to the metal and primer, basically what Justin wrote and then go from thereYou can find this paint at any auto store or craft store, they come in small bottles with twist of caps.
Q:Can I freeze dough for a cookie cake, and can I freeze the cookie cake itself?
You can freeze either the unbaked cookie dough (I'd wrap it well in plastic wrap and then put that inside a ziplock bag) or the baked cookie cake (also double wrapped, using plastic wrap then aluminum foil or freezer paper if you don't have a large enough ziplock bag.) I think the better option is freezing the dough; most basic cookie doughs handle freezing and thawing well, but baked goods can sometimes change in texture when frozen and thawedI don't think that would likely happen with this recipe/type of cookie, but it's just my opinion that freezing the dough is the better optionJust take the dough out of the freezer a day or two before planning to bake it and let it thaw in the refrigerator, then maybe take it out of the frig an hour or so before baking so it's ready to bake (unless the dough was supposed to be chilled before baking.) Baking chilled dough may require a little adjustment to the baking timeHappy Baking! ~ Maria
Q:A 100.0g sample of aluminum is heated to 100.0 oC (Celsius) and is placed in a coffee cup calorimeter containing 150g of water at 25.0 oCAfter the metal cools, the final temperature of the metal and the water is 34.1 oCCalculate the specific heat capacity of aluminum from these experimental data, assuming that no heat escapes to the surroundings or is transferred to the calorimeterSpecific heat of water 4.184 J/g oCatomic mass Al 27.0 g/molCalculate your answer in J/g oC with 3 significant figures, but enter the answer without units. Then calculate the molar heat capacity of Al in J / mol oC, again, to 3 significant figuresEnter the answer without units.
The heat given off from aluminum (from initial heating) will eventually equal the heat energy absorbed by the water at the final temperature, 34.1 oCqAl qWater q m.c.deltaT (100.0g Al)(X J/g oC)(100 - 34.1) (150.0g H2O)(4.184 J/goC)(34.1 - 25.0) Solve for X, specific heat capacity of aluminum 6590X 5711.16 X 0.867 J/g oC Al The molar heat capacity in J/mol oC Molar mass x specific heat Al 27.0g/mol x 0.867 J/g oC grams cancel, leaving J/mol oC 23.4 J/mol oC
Q:I know some of the elements in this list may not have uses, but honestly, I am new to all of this so I don't knowList: Mercury, Tungsten, Graphite, Zinc Oxide, Lead, Platinum, Aluminium, Hydrogen
Mercury- Fluorescent light bulbs, old thermometers, forcing cancer upon your enemiesTungsten- catalysts, x-ray tubes Graphite- Not exactly an element, it's an array of carbons bonded to each other, but it is the lead in your pencils Zinc Oxide- This is a compound, not an element used in ceramics, paints, and lots of other stuffLead- Poisoning people, radiation shielding, construction Platinum- Catalytic converters in cars Aluminum- Foil, electricity, insulation Hydrogen- Fuel cells, energy source, bombs, cool fireballs.
Q:We haven't used aluminum cookware for yearsI have now thrown away all anti-perspirants, tooAluminum is implicated as a cause of many diseases, including dementiaBut why is aluminum foil still in use, even on the barbeque grill??? Is there an alternative?
I used parchment paper to line trays instead of aluminum foil For the barbeque I don't use anythingThe meat goes right on the grillFor a casserole that should be covered in foil, I place an oven tray over the casserole dish.
Q:I don't want to spend a lot of money on wrapping suppliesI would only need a roll or two of wrapping paper.
Remove the silk from the cornSoak the corn w/husks on in cold salt water for about 3 hours before grillingPut corn on the grill.grill for about 10-minutes on each sideYou can pull the husk down near the end of cook time to season itI do veggie packs Slice up your veggies, season and coat w/a bit of olive oilPlace it on a piece of aluminum foil brushed w/Olive oil.and fold up into a pouchPlace on grill for 20-30 minutes.depending on which veggies you useIM if you have any questionsGood luck! Gotta love the grill!
Q:i need 5 / school paper
Kleenex tissue boxes, some lumber (its really recycled milk jugs), some forms of ground cover (shredded tires), paper bags, and, in many cases, aluminum products.
Q:I'm making my first still to distill spirits and was wondering if it is alright to use an aluminum container, opposed to a steel container, as the boiler in the still. Could the aluminum produce any unexpected harmful side effects.
Aluminum can be toxic in very high concentrations, but using aluminum as cookware (or still-ware) is very unlikely to cause toxicity. The only time aluminum may cause a problem is when cooking tomatoes or highly acidic foods in untreated aluminum cookware. Even then, the level of aluminum that gets cooked off into the food is negligible. It's better, however, to make sure that the cookware you are using in the still is food safe. Copper may be a better choice, but I'm sure that's more expensive. Hope this helps. You may want to check your local area to see if there's a home-brewing supply, or a beer-makers supply company and they may be more helpful about a good container to use for the boiler.
