I want to learn how to build each type of section of a sectional sofa, like the corner piece, middle pieces, and even ottomans. - You could get leather, as leather will go with anything. However, there are a lot of styles and qualities of leather sofas. If you have a lot of kids and pets, I would wait on the leather. Go to a furniture store and look at what they have. Most stores have a designers section where you can check out fabric samples. I would suggest getting a durable fabric with a high # rating that will last for years and... get one that is in a print with lots of different colors (easier to hide spills and stains).
- Q:So last night I my senior cat done something seriously weird.She climbed under the large cushion in my sofa and began to curl up to sleep.This is a fairly heavy sofa cushion, so it can't have been comfortable.She usually sleeps in her bed, which is right beside the sofa, or on top of the sofa.I was just wondering if anyone has any idea why she did this, if anyone has experienced anything like this before or is my cat just a total weirdo?Thanks in advance.
- i have had many cats over the years and they ALL have done this. i am unsure as to why but i do know a couple destroyed the inside of many a couches.
- Q:I have a black leather sofa in my living room and a green sofa in my spare room, and I would like to use them in the same room, but change the colour of the leather, I know it can be done, but not sure if the black and dark green ( like a British racing) would change the the colour I want.. Grey.Does anyone know or have they ever changed a dark leather to a light.
- I was told by a leather expert at a class that lighter colors can be dyed darker but there is no way to remove a leather dye and lighten it. You could have a slip cover made, or just out it in the room, and change the fabric one (easier), or have a custom back throw made that essentially covers the back of the sofa in a fabric you pick.
- Q:I'd really like to do a mid-century inspired design but my husband just bought these couches for me this year and will not let me get new ones. How can I make them work?
- How do you mean? Make it work? They are for sitting. Stand in front of the spot you would like to sit on with your back facing the sofa. Bend your knees a little and lean back.
