- Hard disks typically use the 4-pin molex connectors. I can see at least two free in your picture. Basically just use the one that fits, there should only be one that fits anyway.
- Q:I have a power adapter that goes to a mixer (Denon DN-MC6000) and reads: INPUT 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 1.5A, OUTPUT: 12V - 3A. Now I know this is the right adapter but I don't know if I have the right cable that goes from the adapter to the wall. I have one that says 6A 250V~ but I dunno if its the right one. I have a few others but can someone tell me what will be the right one so I don't blow up my mixer :P thanks
- Hi, The adapter to the tip is the important part. Whatever fits from the adapter to the wall doesn't have much to do with anything. Anything that fits the adapter, physically.
- Q:What does the watt rating mean on amp power cables?
- in a lot of cases - not much. The name brands usually mention only total RMS power rating, and those are fairly trustworthy. But the off brands often use peak power ratings. That can mean many things from wiring kit to wiring kit, and lots of other things when you compare one amp to another. So if you're looking at an off brand wiring kit I would advise looking past the power rating and see what size fuse is included with it. That's the best way to know the actual current the wire can handle, and you can figure that for every 100A you're good for about 1000w rms.

- Sometimes there are unused holes plugged with rubber stoppers. Otherwise, locate an object coming through the wall for a reference point.

- Sure you can, as long as it doesn't any above normal resistance mating up. Only problem I foresee is if a pc power cable is heavy enough to handle the load.
- Q:I'm putting in my new power supply and gotta take out the old. But there isnt any clips to slide the cables out. I don't want to pull to hard and damage anything. How do you get it out. Do you pull hard? Help me.
- there isn't any other way......just hold the edges of the cable(tip of the cable - the black part ) and pull it out(pull it harder till it comes out)......dont worry you wont damagae your hard disk by doing this
