- Try taking it to your service provider. They might be able to use a machine to transfer the contacts to a different phone and you can just copy the contacts to the SIM from there.
- Q:I got a Garmin nüvi270 for Christmas. When I connect it to my computer it powers itself down. Customer support told me this happens because I am using an incompatible USB cable. Upon further prodding he told me the cable I am using must not be a data transfer cable and suggested I buy a cable from Garmin because USB cables from PDAs and cell phones don't work since they are not data transfer cables. This sounds like a bunch of bull to me. I wasn't aware there was more than one type of USB cable. Anyone know anything about this? Should I call back and insist they find a real solution?
- This does sound like bovine excrement - mini USB is mini USB. however, from Personal experience, some mini USB cables work - some do not. best one to use with a picky device is a short, fat cable.

- Q:Bought APC SurgeArrest that has an in and out plug for modem/ fax/ phone. I want to plug in my ATT dsl data cable into it and use the skinny phone line that came with the surge protector to go out of it and into the modem.I'm connected to the internet right now with it hooked up like that. - Q:I own a xbox 360 Arcade version and I plan to buy a 120GB Microsoft Hard Drive. Do I need the data transfer cable in order to transfer my game saves and all from my Arcade console's internal memory?
- You only need the transfer cable when you're transferring from one hard drive to another or from console to console and not taking the drive over to the new 360. For the Arcade with internal memory, all you have to do is hook the hard drive up to it and both the drive and your internal memory will be listed as save devices. You can leave it like this or you can move everything over to your new drive by finding the content on your 360, selecting 'move', and then choosing the hard drive as the destination. You will still be able to use your internal memory as extra save space if needed.

- The cable modem will be the bottleneck for internet access, but a faster router will still allow faster connections if you are running a local network (i.e. two of your PCs connected in a LAN via the router will be able to transfer files between each other faster with wireless G or N than with B). Also, wireless B is a little bit old now and I believe there are some network cards that are not reverse compatible (e.g. only connect with Wireless G). That means someone with a new laptop might come by to visit and wouldn't be able to connect to your wireless network. So for just faster internet, wireless g won't help you. If you have a file server at home that streams all your music and videos, or you back up a lot of files all the time, it probably is worth it. (FYI a new Wireless G router is around $50-$60 USD on Amazon).
