- Q:What is the best way to clean my sofa? I cant afford to get it cleaned or to rent a staem cleaner. My kids and our dog has made it dirty and somewhat smelly. How can i clean it without it mildewing? (i live in fl.)Please help...

- There are no commercial cover made for reclining sofas. You need to either have them completely re-upholstered, or have custom slip covers made. Both will be more expensive than new.

- Try the no slip umder padding that's actually meant for under rugs. It comes in different sizes and may work for your situation as well.
- Q:I had a sofa specially made and a rocking chair covered, it cost me approx ?1,200.The company told me the sofa would last a lifetime, now only after 4 years the sofa is has holes in it where the material has worn away, it only has very light use, and my partner is the only person that sits on it,The rocking chair has had no use at all as it is in my spare room, so whether that will wear in the same way I do not know.I phone the company, and he said he would part re-cover the where it has gone in holes, but the problem is I do not want this as I am sure it will wear away again in a couple of years.Does anyone know my rights in this matter?
- Frankly, I don't think you are going to get anywhere with this. I would try to see if they would give you some money instead of recovering the sofa. If you get it recovered, the recovered parts won't match the rest of it. I'd see if they will give you a cash settlement. These kinds of warranties are really not worth much! Ask for cash!

- you can clean with 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water dry with a towel.

- Like anything that is black vinyle thing, it is probably made of material like masonite covered with a thin vinyl/plastic that is heat sealed together. While it appears to work for a while, it too will eventually wear out, allowing your sofa to sag. These products are usually made for sleeper sofas due to the type of bed frame installed in sleeper sofas. If you want a better product to support your sofa cushions, Measure your sofa withoug cushions, from front to back, just under the area where the back rest and seat deck join. then measure from one arm rest to the other . Use the deminsions and have a piece of 3/8 or 1/2 plywood cut to the sizes you've taken. Cover it with some inexpensive bed sheet fabric and place it on the seat deck area, pushed back far enough to let it rest behind the front sofa rail. Put your cushions back where they belong, and sit on it. You'll find it to be more firm, and will last longer than your black vinyle thing

- Depends on why your a vegetarian. Some people feel it is a healthier way to eat. Others feel it is a more ethical way to live and probably safer for the planet. If your with the first group go ahead and buy the leather sofa. If not why would you want a leather sofa.
