- You need to use a good quality water based foam leather cleaner. DO NOT use anything containing oils, waxes or silicones. (Most 'conditioners' contain waxes or oils) and furniture polish contains silicones BABY WIPES are the worst thing you can use as they will destroy the finish on your leather.

- Q:I have recently come into possession of a really good couch. The ONLY problem being is that it has stains on it, and smells a little. Besides that, it's brand spankin' new and in nice condition (no rips or tears) / everything in tact. I've decided to make a project out of this couch, as I know that most of the time, suede can be a b17ch to clean, but honestly, my husband and I don't have the money for a new couch as all of our money is going towards getting a new car. So right now I'm looking at ways to get stains out, make the suede look nicer, if not great, and get rid of the little tangy smell. More than likely, I'll eventually get a slipcover for it, but right now, I'd like it in a decent condition :)
- Cleaning suede stains can be a nuisance, but it is possible to remove them using supplies from your home. Here are the tips on how to clean and remove the stains from suede sofa: 1. Scrape up any substance the stain has. If it's chunky or any portion is sitting on the suede, remove as much as you can using your spoon and place it in a trash bag. 2. Dab at the stain on your suede couch using a clean sponge rinsed in cool water. Avoid rubbing as this may spread the stain. 3. Mix equal parts of water and an enzyme laundry detergent in a bowl to create a paste. 4. Use your spatula to apply the paste over the stained area on your suede couch. Allow the paste to sit for 20 to 30 minutes. 5. Remove the paste from the suede couch by scraping it up with your spatula. 6. Saturate a clean cloth with cool water and wring it out. Blot at the area where the paste was to remove your cleaner and any remnants of the stain. Let your suede couch dry completely. 7. Fluff up the nap and fibers of the suede by brushing it with a suede brush.

- The white sofa can really be a stand out in your room. I would trim in white and color the walls but wait until you have found your furniture and then color your walls to what you need. Pick your colors to make you look good. I watched . . .can't think of the name. . .but the TV show with the four women on Histeria Lane (LOL) and Brie is the redhead and her house is decorated to just make her colors pop. Even her car made her eyes just stand out. That's how you decorate and choose colors. You want someone to walk in the room and say how great you look. . .Good luck with it all. Just don't get in a hurry and find something you really like.

- I realize it may seem like a anguish to alter clothes to play with them, but when you don't want your just right clothes to get all holey then i'm afraid you're going to don't have any alternative! As the entire different persons have mentioned (apart from the stupid rip their enamel out comment, rats have to bite to maintain their teeth the right length, as such it is a part of their most simple common behaviour. As irritating as it usually is, the ratties do not know what stuff they're allowed to chew and what they are not... It is all of the identical to them and there is no way of them understanding or else, regardless of how clever they're. I have some crap garments that i hold in with the rat components in my cabinet, then quickly exchange into them earlier than i play with the rats. As for the sofa, identical factor again; they do not know they aren't imagined to chew it! I might advise placing a thick throw or duvet over it in order that will get chewed rather. I do know this is not what you want to hear, but i am hoping it helps!

- mrriskey007 Great idea. Most of the work is already done. Chop it so that you have the correct porportion back to seat. Move the back's legs to the position for the seat's rear legs. Consider adding a middle set of legs. Obtain a new spar that will run the sofa's length and it will be the seat's rear frame. Install, maybe, the middle leg to it. The back's connection to the seat's rear might be as simple as a 1/2 thick piece of plywood used as a gusset. Picture a 45 degree x 90 degree triangle with the short leg fastened to the seat rear and the long leg fastened to the back. Size the triangle for best strength. Adjust the 90 degree angle for the best back to seat angle. Glue and screw seat frame to gusset as well as the back. Gusset will also help to contain seat's cushions. Will need two of these, one for each end of the sofa (duh). Might consider one for the center for additional strength of the the back to seat (plus the middle leg if needed). Whalla -- done. Sofa arm rests at its ends are simple to add too. Select a piece of stock that will be the sofa's seat front leg extention as an upright for the front of the arm rest. Select stock for horizontal part of the arm. Consider using a gusset to connect those to pieces. Connect the arm to the rear of the sofa which is the back frame.
