- Q:Less than a yr ago i got a sofa sectional w- 2 recliners a sleeper. Less than a month after i bought it i had some friends spend the night the sleeper closed on them. Nobody got hurt thankfully. I then called Ashley Furniture the next morning complained. I did have a warranty insurance on the couch. I had to spend months complaining 3 mos later they send someone to look at it. It takes him another month to send a replacement sofa. I got the new sofa in so i felt it was safe i had my parents sleeping on the bed and it closed injured my 64 year old dad. (He has back problems anyhow). I felt it could have been the hard wood floors making it close up. So i got carpet installed under the sofa area. Well sure enough my best-friend was here sleeping over. It closed again injured my friends knee. I called told them all this asked if there was a recall on this sofa they said no. The model # is 8890397. I can't find the sofa on the website anymore. Where can i go to find out.
- It doesn't matter whether they are making or selling the sofa any longer. The important thing here is that you take action QUICKLY! If your warranty is like most...it probably has a one year expiration date. If it's longer...then great. Either way, you need to contact the company and let them know what has happened and that this problem has occurred on several different occasions. Then, you need to tell them that they need to replace your sofa, but not with the same model you had before. There is obviously a manufacturer's defect here that they don't want to admit to. I would let them know that you want to go into their showroom and pick out another (comparable) sofa and have them deliver it to your home when the pick up the defective unit. Let them know that if they give you any argument, you're going to contact your attorney. I doubt they'll give you any grief after that. High quality, top-grain leather furniture will often be aniline-dyed, which allows the true grain of a leather to show through. Top-grain leather is often more susceptible to surface scratches that will cause the look of the leather to change over time. Some people will appreciate this for the character it gives a piece of furniture, and some will not. From a quality and durability standpoint, top-grain leather is typically thicker, and because it does not have a synthetic layer, you will not wear through it and it has the potential to last much, much longer.

- I'd recommend a badger. It is an often overlooked solution to many problems. Litter Box: Badgers encourage animals using litter boxes to learn how to use the toilet. No more stinky litter to clean up. Curtains: Rub the badger vigorously onto the material of the curtains. Cats will now be afraid to mark a badgers 'claimed area'. Sofa: Tie the badger to the sofa, preferably under a cushion. If you have time train the badger to sit still until it feels pressure on the cushion. If trained properly it should then leap with a bloody ear piercing scream scaring the creatue that was considering marking the sofa. This tactic works well as a burglar deterrent but you asked about pets not petty thieves. Moldy Kibble: Badgers thrive on moldy kibble. Enough said. How it could be worse. Badgers need to be bathed twice weekly......ever try to bathe a badger? Lack of Pets: Well you know own a badger so I'm not sure how you are lacking a pet, unless you two are just friends.

- OMG would take all of 5 mins as a Joann's find a piece of material you like, tell the person how big your sofa is they will assist you to cut a big enough piece to cover the entire sofa like a sheet. Don't turn it into a slip cover just use it like a sheet enjoy! Best of luck to us all, ciao. GAH

- Yes, lots of pretty throw pillows will add color to the room. Just about any color you like. A nice lamp with a shade on it in one of the sofa pillow colors. A bowl of oranges on a table will add color. Orange accents would look good with the beige, white, and light brown carpet.

- I have a chocolate brown sofa, with forest green accents all through my living room -- I went with a light tan recliner in the same material as my sofa, The tan, Green and Brown really work well together - It looks kinda earthy. Then I just bought a rug to go in front of my couch that has black, brown, tan and green in it to tie it all together.

- This could be your dog developing a stereotypic behaviour, try distracting her/him and giving her/him something else to do! (toys that have treats in them, walks, etc). Alternatively, to get my dog to stop doing things she shouldn't, we have a spray bottle (like what you use on cats when they misbehave).
