Q:Why is light absorbed by Black Holes?
Light isnt absorbed by black holes... really. Light always goes perfectly straight when its in a vacuum. Gravity doesnt bend the light, it bends the definition of a straight line, and curves geometry, so the apparent direction of the light is changed. A black hole doesnt absorb it, it just creates a local deformation of spacetime that is so serious that light passing through it is bent into a complete 360 degree circle. It always goes straight, but all straight paths entering a black hole are so deformed that they dont go out again.. they become circles on the inside.
Q:How does light occur?
combustion = A process in which a substance reacts with oxygen to give heat and light.
Q:What's the ABS light?
ABS Air Bag System, if this light came on, mean you have a problem with your air bag, it does not mean it will explode on you, it means the air bag system may not work in case of a collision . The diagnosis need to be performed by a trained technician to avoid destroy what is good on the system . Have than check as soon you can. Good luck
Q:added a closet. want to feed from bedroom light to new closet light, and control closet light with single pole?
why go through all that trouble, there are lights now you can screw in and press a button ,all you need is a couple of 1.5 batteries
Q:Whats lighter???????
It depends on the form, diamond is denser and heavier than alum but graphite is about the same. Amorphous is lighter than alum.
Q:nissan maxima 2001 dashboard lights?
Like above, some element is incorrect. might want to be EVAP, O2, gasoline cap, IACV, CAS or the different type of issues. Disconnecting the batter cable for purely a minute will maximum in all probability not erase the codes. more beneficial oftentimes than not the battery must be disconnected for a 1/2 hour or more beneficial. also, Autozone's 'professional' coverage is they couldn't erase the codes, purely inform you what they are.
Q:01 Chevy S10 3rd brake light!?
Above is correct, it isnt a tailamp, it is a brake lamp only lights up with the brake pedal applied.
Q:how do prisms bend light?
Hey Marie.....light travels in wavelegnths much like the waves of an ocean travelling to the shore. When something interrupts or alters the course of these wavelegnths (such as light travelling through a prism) then these wavelengths (ripples) must do a detour and this is called refraction (not to be confused with reflection). It is the same reason that we sometimes see a rainbow in different mediums. Each waverlegnth of light actually has a corresponding color to it.....hence the rainbow. A Frenchman named Fresnel figured out some fancy mathematical equations to explain all of this and when you see an old lighthouse up close you will see the fresnel lens that it supports. It uses this theory so as to take a small light source indide if it (such as an old whale oil lamp) and then magnify and refract the light into a seemingly brighter appearance. Light can bend (refract) and when it does this then corresponding colors appear due to a change in wavelegnth (it makes a detour) and the intensity of the light may appear greater or smaller.
Q:Any experiment based on light?
Shine a light onto a prism. The reflected spectrum of light will be the color of rainbows in the order (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet) ROYGBIV.
Q:What are some other alternative to incandescent lighting besides fluorescent lighting and LED lights?
While florescent lights emit some radiation, LED emit nothing. There are those who recommend to keep a safe distance from any florescent/CFL light because of this. Currently the most energy efficient light source is LED. It saves up to 97% electricity! There are other types of light bulbs that use less electricity than florescent and cost less than LED such as mercury bulbs etc. These bulbs, however aren't suitable for domestic use because they have a few limitations: 1) They require long time to start. Can you imagine having light 2 minutes after flipping the switch? 2) They don't produce white light. Only a kind of yelowish-orange light. For these reasons mercury lights are used currently only for roads lighting.
