What are the materials?
Our rattan furniture is woven by hand with environment-friendly PE rattan on strong powder-coated metal or aluminum structure with soft cushions and pillows. The cushions are usually replaceable and washable.
1)PE Rattan/PVC Rattan/Poly Rattan/Synthetic Rattan: durable and UV and weather resistant
-- Round Rattan is usually more durable than flat rattan and more expensive.
-- Plenty of rattan colors are available for selection and the well-received colors are listed as follows: Changing Brown, Charcoal, Dark Brown, Cream, Beige, Grey, White, etc.

- Use a clicker and train him. How?: Clicker and treats. Whenever he gets off the sofa, press the clicker and tell him a compliment and give him a treat. Keep practicing while saying OFF or NO. As you do that get the clicker and keep repeating. As you do this for a while, WITHOUT treats or clicker, he'll get used to it. OR make sure he gets full exercise and gets TIRED. Then, he might be too tired to get on. If he begs for treats, use a hand signal for SHH, and a hand signal for OFF. Maybe a signal for NO, just in case. Hope this helps!

- unless he actually was exposed to them you(and your sofa) should be fine but if you will feel better have it steam cleaned not chemically cleaned the toxins in rug and upholstery cleaner are probably worse!

You should check with an attorney about the qualifications needed for an expert to examine the fabric to determine what exactly it is. I would suspect an upholsterer could do this but it's better to find out in advance. - Yes, a sofa table is a great way to liven up a room, though as others have said, it's best to add one in the same style as the rest of your furniture. A classic sofa table is quite tall, though lower than the back of your sofa, quite long, but shorter than your sofa, and not very wide. Sofa tables look great with lamps on, if there's nowhere you can plug these in, use a pair of candlesticks or some matching ornament, and put flowers in a low vase in the middle. Many people find a desk is just the right height and length to use as a sofa table, and if you want one in your living room, behind the sofa can be a very good place to put one. An alternative is a low bookcase. You get storage on the shelves for ornaments and/or books, and a surface to display your flowers, lamps and other ornaments.

- I've had a sofa and a few chairs reupholstered. The sofa was the most expensive because of the amount of materials needed. I think I paid about $175 for that and about $100 each for the chairs. But I didn't have to pay labor because my mom did them for me. Some tech colleges offer upholstery classes and you can do your own for less than paying a professional or sometimes the people in the class are looking for projects to do.

I dont know how old it is, who actually made it or what its made of or its size. .When you sell it its worth what someone else will pay for it. What qualities does it have that provide special value to a buyer? Is it well made, is it beautiful is it special size , whats the condition of it, how could it be used by someone else? Look at some high end consignment stores and expect to sell for at least 1/3 or the original value, it is still used furniture. I suggest that you get it out into the public where it can be seen and appreciated. Moving it out of your home will seperate your sentiment and attachment to it. Im happy you had this experience of winning something, take a picture of it for your memories and let someone else enjoy using it in the future.
