Q:I'm buying the a FI-HI creamsicle black stereo speaker backpack. In the description it said 3000miliwatt speakers, i am wondering how loud that would be? Im not looking for the loudest speakers.
How loud is very subjective. 3000 milliwatt is a 3 watt system. Not a lot of power, but these are small speakers built into a back pack. It's probably best if you look for reviews on this speaker than ask how loud. And although wattage represents power, it does not necessarily represent loudness. The efficiency of the speakers will have a lot to do with the loudness with the power. For example, if you hook up a 10 watt amplifier to a speaker that has an efficiency of 80 decibels (at 1w/m), it will sound a lot louder than a speaker that has an efficiency of 83 decibels (with the same 10 watt amp). Generally, every 3 decibels equals to a doubling of power. So it's a big difference.
Q:for some reason my 2 back speakers are louder then the front speakers on the left and right, i have been told itts because of th chaannel level, can someone help me with this please, i have polk audio speakers and a denon reciever
In the menu of ur system, you should have to option to increase or decrease the volume of each individual speaker. You should turn down the back speakers if they are too loud or turn up the other speakers to match it. It should be an easy fix
Q:Hello I currently have the alesis m1 active USB 320 speakers they can't handle bass to well. I have some logitech x-530 subwoofers at my new house would I be able to connect my speakers to the logitech subwoofer 5* feedback best answer cheers
It depends a bitare you wanting to use the old speakers with the new subs? Since your old speakers are USB does your computer have a normal sound card output on it? If it does then yes you can connect it and it should work fine, if not then you will need to get a soundcard for the pc. Now your old speakers will not directly connect to the logitech speakers if that is what you are asking, so your USB speakers will be one connection and the subs another connection.
Q:iam looking to buy some wireless speakers for my computer and i do not know if they are wireless or not.Does channel speakers mean wireless?
The speakers or the box should definitely state if they are wireless. The term channel could mean several things, as in left or right stereo channel or it could be a model name or the brand name. A wireless speaker will need a power cord on it. This is to power the wireless receiver and amplifier to make the speaker work. It will not need (but I suppose it could have) any audio connections on it.
Q:I just got a *BRAND NEW* set of speakers.Yet, my sound is really bad.I know its not the speakers, and i have updated my sound drivers as well.Any hints?
You may think its not the speakers, but without the correct specs on the speakers as well as your soundcard manufacturer, model number/name, and even computer. It will be difficult to diagnose this problem. Further define what you specifically mean by, bad sound. Describe the sound, is it tiny sounding like a mouse, is it metalic sounding, do the speakers pop-and-hiss, is there a lot of static sounds. Does it sound like the music is far away even though the volume is up maxed and the speakers are well within range. Soundcards and onboard sound systems all have specs that determine the best speaker system to match them with. Perhaps the speakers are not in the range the soundcard can output, or maybe its the other way around and the sound card does not match the preferred input range for the speakers. Buying speakers solely on the big numbers printed on the front of the box as well a hefty price tag is in no way an indicator to their quality. Most common sized desktop speakers that boost anything over 10W (watts) power is not showing you the whole picture. Read the fine print, the big 20-1000W ++ numbers they tend to scream at you are the combined wattage of both and all speakers and the output power but not the actual speakers themselves.
Q:can i use regular ol speaker wire to extend my surround sound speakers reach? im thinking, cut the surround sound speaker wire in the middle and attach regular speaker wire. is this ok to do, or will i jack it up?thanks in advance
You can run speakers for well over a few hundred feet if you want. You need to make sure you are using good quality wire for your speakers. 16 AWG zip cord works very well and it's cheaper than getting regular speaker wire. You really don't want to use a regular stereo amplifier. Do not hook up your speakers in series or parallel. What you need is a Audio Distribution Amp that has multiple outputs for general PA use. Hope this helps!
Q:I only have two floor speakers, a center speaker, and a subwoofer. What setup would give me the best sound when connecting these to a 6.1 surround system. Just to head these comments off, I now the best way would be to purchase 3 more speakers but we are working on that and have to deal until we can buy the additional speakers.
It's basically the same setup as a 5.1 without the rear speakers. Set the output to stereo
Q:I have Windows 7 and I have two Insignia side speakers for my computers. I have a electric piano that i plug into it through the microphone input. A few days ago, i plugged the piano in and my speakers stopped working. They still show up on the computer but no sound comes out of it.Can somebody please help. Thanks
Make sure you didn't plug them into the headphone jack, that will mute the speakers.
Q:I wanted to know if i could just use a fm transmitter with speakers on their own without a radio hooked up to the speakers? im not sure. a bit of a guess but you may be able to use the fm transmitter on the frequency of the speakers if thats possible? Sorry if this sounds stupid. it sounded like a good prank idea at the time. :)
speaker wires will sometimes act as antennas, and a signal at the resonant frequency of the wires, can sometimes be heard through the speakers. Most of the time, this kind of resonance just produces noise.
Q:I have a sony system and it has 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer. The sony mini hi-fi system has the speaker ports for the sub and the 2 speakers. I also have another 2 speakers I want to hook up to the system. Is there a way I can wire this or buy something cheap to split the connections in my receiver so I can have all 4 speakers and the sub work at the same time on 1 receiver. Please Help!!!
You can wire the speakers in parallel or series, depending on the amplifier and the speaker impedances. If the amplifier can drive a 4 ohm speaker on each channel, and you want to put two 8 ohm speakers on it, just connect them in parallel - that will approximate a 4 ohm speaker (be sure and connect the + to the + and the - to the - ). If the amplifier is rated to drive only 8 ohms, then you can either wire 8 ohm speakers in series, thereby approximating a 16 ohm speaker. This will minimize an over-current situation, but will result in a small, inconsequential mis-match which causes a small amount of power to be lost (it won't be noticeable w/o a sound meter). If the speakers are 4 ohms then wire them in series as well to produce an equivalent of 8 ohm impedance.
