Q:i just got a new motherboard but after reading throuhg the manual i coudnt get any instructions on which cable goes which way. pls i need some one to help me. all other connections are okay i suppose but afraid to just connect the power,and the reset button cable any how.: Well... if they're the big white plastic plugs, then you aim the clip for the notch and you're good to go. If they're the smaller plugs that look amazingly like jumpers... then your motherboard should have come with a diagram to show how to plug them in. If not, look on the motherboard and see if you see metal pins with text closeby that says things like PWR SW or RST or HDD LED or PWR LED, or something similar. Generally, the text will point in the direction that the plug needs to go. Also, you generally want to make sure that the open metal part of the plug faces towards the inside of the two rows of metal pins (should be a row of 4 and a row of 5). Hope that helps.

Worry about the power requirements on the appliance label, and making sure you are feeding it with the voltage required, with a capacity within the range. In your instance, you will need a converter transformer that converts your outlet voltage to 100V, and has 550 or larger watt capacity.

Q:when the power cable comes out, the laptop turns off simple as that! it wont work unless the power cable is plugged in and turned on, and its not that the battery is flat because i had it charging all day.so does this mean the battery is broken?if so what do i need to do?? any help will be greatly appreciated!!: i bought a used dell laptop that came with a working battery. It would charge 100% and run for an hour or 2 on battery power. one day it just stopped working on battery power. The battery button showed it to be 100% charged. Q:Hello guyzz, recently i have bought new card powercolor radeon hd 6770 1gb gddr5 .i installed it but it required a 6 pin power cable forbut i checked in my all pc..i cant fine any 6 pin power cable.so without any cable its not working wat i do plzzz help.......: your problem will be solved.Also make sure your PSU is at least 300W before you plug that card in. Sorry for the wrong link. I have since replaced it. Your PSU is more than enough to power that card, the rest of your system and another 5770 in XFire.

Q:I have a MSI K7 Motherboard... it has a SATA power cable but no data cable. Which kind of confuses me. Please help. Thanks =): A word of advice ... if you plan to install Windows on this new drive you will need to prepare a driver disk for the SATA adapter. During the first stages of Windows install it will ask you to press F6 to install any third party drivers for RAID or SCSI .... without it Windows may not detect the adapter hence the SATA drive. regards, Philip T

Q:my friend and i were installing a subwoofer in his car and the rem cable touched the amp and caused a short. the cd player does not turn on any more and we could not find any problem anywhere the only fuse blown was the fuse on the power wire for the amp and that should not have any effect on the cars cd player what could be wrong? (the fuse on the back of the cd player was not blown this leads me to believe there is nothing wrong with the cd player and it is not fried): did you check the car's fusebox? does the radio have a reset button somewhere ? does the head unit have a wire harness that plugs into the back of the unit itself? if it does maybe the harness melted and there is still a short in the wire or the wire melted somewhere between the head unit and your amp and is still shorted. you could simply unhook the remote wire from immediately behind the stereo and see if that helps edit *** also, i'm not sure if this is still true but most D.C. powered electronics like your cd player have a diode inside on the power wire. A diode will only let electricity run one way. What it does is basically if you where to say hook up you're stereo's power wire backward it would only burn up the diode (in theory). This may be what happened and would be pretty cheap to fix.

Q:So I've had my laptop for about a year and a half now and I've gone through 4 power cables, 3 non-factory. What happens with each one is, I plug it in, the blue light surrounding the hole turns on, the end of the power cable that plugs into my laptop gets super hot and either melts the power cable, or when I plug the cable in, the light won't come on unless I have it in just right. This usually starts to happen between one and three months after I get a new cable. It's starting to go through them faster now, any ideas?: you have a power short in the computer that's why it is getting to hot and melting the cables, get it seen to immediately

Q:I have 2 subs and a amp, I have a hi/low converter so it will be able to work. I hooked it all up properly and i noticed i have a empty space on my amp. Its the power control cable. I have no idea how to hook this up to my FACTORY deck. Do i hook it up to the antenna?
