Try using a piece of rubber tubing that is just large enough to fit over the dipstick but small enough to go into the dipstick tube and that is long enough to do the job without getting lost inside the tube, about a foot or two long piece should do. It should only cost a few bucks at the auto parts store for them to cut a piece of tubing for you. You also may need a long flat-tip screwdriver to position the dipstick away from the dipstick tube wall and towards the center of the dipstick tube. Gently push the tubing over the dipstick end and then slowly pull it out of the dipstick tube. 2. If this doesn't work then the dipstick tube *should* be removable, sometimes nut or bolts will hold it secure in place and those items as well as any parts in the way of access of the dipstick tube will need to be removed. - Good job. Hope trying to save a few bucks and doing it the lazy mans way has taught you a lesson. I'd be surprised if it did though. You can either push it all the way down into the pan or remove the dipstick tube from the block and get it out of there. I would have someone who knows what they are doing do it for you or chances are good you'll be back here asking another question.
