Q:I started with one chair. I sanded it first, then wiped, and let it dry, and then i put stain on. And I see a few spots that seems like I didn't sand very good. So, the color is uneven. plus the chair has a plywood part on a back of a seat, it turns pretty ugly. What should I do? Let it dry, and sand it again, then stain it? Or let it dry, put primer and paint over it? CAN I pait it?
you said refinishing the chairs so I assume they had some type of finish on them previously, If you want to stain them ,you must strip them to do it correctly otherwise the new stain will look uneven, yes you could paint them if that is the look you want, but you will have to prime them first.Plywood will not stain like a species of wood so you will have to put some ,very little stain on a rag and lightly rub some color on and slowly add more until it closely matches the actual wood on the chair ,this can be tricky,if you add too much stain, take a rag and put some paint thinner on it and rub some color out until you get the match you can live with....painting contractor.
Q:I am interested in getting the Inglesina table chair from Amazon but I am not sure if it is durable. I want something portable for outing and use at home. I am tired of putting him on my lap while eating or feeding him at the table. I have a counter height table and a high chair is not in the right height. I need some suggestions to which product is the right choice. Thanks in advance.
A booster seat!!
Q:I'm considering purchasing one of these chairs. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
I don't like those vibrating massage chairs. They just make my skin itch after sitting in them. I have an iJoy massaging chair and it's like the massage tables chiropractors have. There are these rollers in it that travel up and down the back of the chair. And, with different settings, you can get different massaging action with them. I think these are about $750 or so at Costco. But, if you're looking for a massage chair, they are definitely the way to go.
Q:Help im realy stuck in my chair and i cant get out luckly my charir is rite by my computer and i can post this to my fellow friends on yahoo! help call the firefighters!
so stand up with ur butt in the chair and walk to the phone or get out of the chair smart one
Q:He's 5 months old, and when I help him up into sitting position on the floor he needs only minimal support to avoid sagging sideways. He really likes to sit, but not so much in his bouncy seat, I think because it offers little support for his back. He sits much better on the (firm) sofa when we put him between my husband and me and he really enjoys looking around.I would like to get him more involved in mealtime (not eating yet for another month though) by putting him in a high chair (going to IKEA this afternoon to buy one) by the table, but I'm not sure if I should wait until he can sit completely unassisted.
I'd try it out. He seems to be sitting well. Most high chair have back support so I don't think he'll need assistance. I'd buy one while you can because he'll need it eventually. I think having him involved with meal time would be great. My sister in law put her baby in he high chair and she would look around and play. She enjoyed it.
Q:My wedding is this saturday, we are having the reception at the american legion and their chairs are all different colors and very ugly. We were planning on renting chair covers till today my mom said we cant afford it anymore. Any ideas on what I could do to make these chairs look better?
Dear, it's a little late to be thinking of this now. Frankly, there isn't much you can do at this late date, and if your mom cannot afford any more, as you say, then just get married, have the reception, and move on. Really, no one will be paying much attention to the chairs and years from now what they looked like will NOT even be remembered. TO the person who suggested you run out to a fabric store and buy tulle and ribbons (stating this was INexpensive), she must be from outer space because it would cost you a FORTUNE! Just go with the chairs as they are and relax.
Q:I LOOOVE these room all together! I'm thinking of kind of recreating it! Do you know where I can find a chandelier and chair/ottoman like shown in the picture?
That is hot but looks very expensive! The chandelier is probably vintage. Look on Ebay. The chair you can cover yourself with any houndstooth or any b w pattern.
Q:I was invited to a baby shower and I was between getting a high chair or a walker for her. Which one do you mothers find more useful?
Walkers are safety hazards and they can cause developmental delays. High chairs are highly useful items both for meal time and to include a child who can sit well in family life at eye level with everybody else.
Q:Can you rent wheel chairs in disneyland and how much are they???
If they don't have some place to rent wheel chairs 'America's Disabilities Act' won't give them a green light to keep the park open. Special needs have the rights to enjoy the attractions with us as well. The answer: 100% 'yes'.
Q:I have received a swivel chair, but it is too low to be used at my desk... I don't want to put a cushion on it because it is a massaging and heating one lol..
It would help to see the chair. I dont believe that part controls the height of the chair. Typically it is a gas cylinder with either a leaver under the seat or piece of the seat. There are chairs that you spin to adjust height but considering your chair is massaging and heating, i would assume it is raised and lowered with the gas cylinder. If the gas cylinder is not working it may not be making a good connection. (when you pull the lever it pushes a button on the top of the gas cylinder which causes it to raise/lower) If you put the chair together yourself I would make sure that the gas cylinder is pushed all the way into the under chair bracket. Otherwise contact the manufacturer and they should send you the replacement part.
