Q:I want to get a chair that will be comfortable for reading. I want to place this upstairs in my bedroom so the chair can't be very big and heavy. I can't stand reading at my computer desk when I am reading for fun and I don't always want to read on my bed. What do you think I should do? I am kinda thinking about one of the glider rocker chairs but I am not sure.

the best reading chair is a bean bag chair because it's comfortable and when u get up ur butt want hurt

Your best bet would be to go to your local retail outlet and test-drive the chairs they have there. Everybody is different and what works for one person may not work for another. I get lower back pain, too. I have found that pricey executive chairs tend to start hurting after only 45 minutes while I can sit in a cheap task chair for hours before getting sore. On the occasions I have to sit in a high-back executive chair I usually roll a jacket or towel up and put it behind my lower back. It helps.

Q:I sit in a chair and play my new x-box game for hours every day and I've lately my back has been hurting all the time. I'm looking for a comfortable chair that is easy on the lower back for extended periods of time. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Q:They are all in the same room and are in fairly close proximity to each other. Should I cover them all in the same fabric? Or cover the dining chairs in a solid pattern, and the bar stools in a complementing fabric? Thanks

NavyBrat - I recently re-covered 6 kitchen chairs and 6 dining rom chairs. They are in separate rooms but visible to each other. I chose 2 different patterns with the same color profile. Different textures - the kitchen chairs have a much heavier texture tan the dining room chairs. I did a lot of shopping and found my fabric at a local remnant upholstery shop. I purchased 5 yards of fabric for $35. The original price on the fabric for the kitchen chairs was $30 per yard and the original price for the dining room fabric was $35 per yard. I do believe I got a great deal. 12 chair cushions for $35. Same color profile - different pattern, different texture. Good luck

Q:I'm going to buy one next week for my son and I want something nice... preferably compact, but not necessarily. I also don't want one of those you sit in a chair and strap on to it. I want a completely seperate high chair for him! Thanks!

I adore our Svan. It's not for everyone, and the price tag is a bit steep. ($250 plus about $40 for the pad set.) But here's why it works for us: * We have a small, open-floor plan main room. We didn't want a bright, plastic chair that screamed BABY! We wanted something subtle, modern and interesting. The Svan comes in several wood finishes - we went with cherry. * We wanted something that would go from his first feeding to the time he was ready to sit in a regular chair. The Svan adjusts nicely, and will actually become a desk chair eventually. (It can hold a 250 pound adult!) * We were looking for a chair that worked with a tray or without - this one is secure when we pull our son up to the table to sit with us, but the tray works very well, too. Lastly, we realized after we bought the chair that being able to adjust the footrest and the seat means that our son can actually climb into the chair himself!

Q:I've had one for a couple of weeks now and use it for a couple of hours a day. I've always sat with my lower back causing me to hunch over.Will i notice a difference to my posture when i sit in normal chairs over the next few weeks/months?

I gave up on my kneeling chair last year. I tried the ball chair also, and it was about the same. I finally bought a standard desk chair which was designed to support the lower back. I trained myself to sit with my back snugly against the back support and my feet strait down at a 90 degree angle. Then I limited my desk work time to 30 minute intervals, taking a 5 minute break between, in which I would walk around. My back problems have been mostly eliminated. My opinion, for what it's worth is that the Ball Chair and the Kneeling Chair are not the answer to solving low back pain.

If they don't have some place to rent wheel chairs 'America's Disabilities Act' won't give them a green light to keep the park open. Special needs have the rights to enjoy the attractions with us as well. The answer: 100% 'yes'.

Q:Could some one explain how the chair suspension work? And i can immitate this using household chairs and board? Or do you buy the chair suspension set, whats so different about the chair suspension set?

The times I have seen it explained it is usually done with a fork lift behind the curtain and a iron bar from under the chair to the fork lift. I don't think it would be easy to do at home. It would require a great deal of force at odd angles to make it look magical.

Q:I found this chair sitting in our garage for about a year now and I want to put it in my bedroom. The problem is that its kinda dirty.. Its like a cream color but it has dark marks on the arms its from my uncles tools. It's not a leather or recliner chair its just a regular sitting chair. I just want to get the dark black marks out of it so I can make it look nice in my bedroom. plus it smells a little.. The tips would greatly be appreciated.. THANK YOU!!

I buy a cleaner at Walmart, Dollar General or Dollar Tree that should work on your chair. It is called LA's Totally AWESOME. It comes in gallon jug, 1/2 gallon or a spray bottle. It's a yellow color liquid. It is very cheap and can be used to clean many things. Use it straight, do not mix with water. I have used it for years on many things and LOVE IT~!!! .....please do not use bleach on the chair.
