Q:I am looking for an old Dutch Apple Pie recipe that was in an edition of Better Homes and Gardens in the early 90's. I had the page from the magazine, but now I cannot find it, and I need it for Thanksgiving.

Q:What is a good home remedy for bugs in the Garden and Lawn.
Jeez. It all depends on where you are, the weather, what plants you are growing, and what pests you have. A lot of bugs in the garden are beneficial. Some are not. There are a lot of home remedies for bugs out there, but you need to know what type of bug it is. Some can be removed by hand, some by spraying with soapy water, some by spraying with pressurised water... it all depends. There's also biological controls available like encarsia and ladybugs. Next time, pick a plant with a pest and describe the problems. You'll get a better answer.
Q:A LONG time ago I had made a Tuna and Rice casserole, I used the recipe out of a very old Better Homes cook book. IDK what had happened to the cookbook, but it was the best thing I had ever tasted and I cant remember the whole recipe but I do remember some of its ingredients. I really only want the recipe out of a better homes cook book. So if you have one of these cook books, flip open to casseroles and 'if' it is there PLEASE share. I have looked everywhere for this recipe and I cant find it anywhere.
* 1 small onion, chopped * 1-1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil * 2/3 cup water * 3 tablespoons Homemade Cream-Style Soup Mix (recipe also in Recipe Finder) * 3/4 cup frozen chopped broccoli, thawed * 1 can (6 ounces) tuna, drained and flaked * 1/2 cup milk * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1/8 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning * 1-1/2 cups cooked rice * 2 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted Directions * In a small skillet, saute onion in oil until tender. In a microwave-safe dish, whisk together water and soup mix. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes, whisking occasionally. Add soup to sauteed onions. Stir in the broccoli, tuna, milk, salt and lemon-pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Stir in rice. Cook and stir 2-3 minutes longer or until heated through. Sprinkle with almonds. Yield: 2 servings. Tuna and Rice Casserole published in Cooking for One or Two Cookbook
Q:i'm i need to Buy Some Veg Seed Such as Radish, Tomato, Hot Peper . i look on Walmart and ACE Hardware but they Dont Have it . wonder where els Could be Found . thx
I would think any Greenhouse would sell them, or really anywhere there is a Garden Center - even Department Stores...my local Grocery Store sells packets of Garden Seeds... just look where you shop.
Q:...pile of chopped liver?
That's what that is. I thought it was. . . .never mind. ((((((Zilla)))))))
Q:My neighbor, who always worked outside in his yard, is now confined to a dementia ward in the local nursing home. He still responds to plants, trees, leaves etc. I did take him some bare branches in water off my corkscrew willow tree which have now leafed out and he likes that. What else can I do? I'm thinking of taking small pots full of potting soil and helping him start seeds, (coleus comes to mind as they could be transplanted and used as houseplants.) Do you have any other ideas? Obviously we are limited on space (there is a large windowsill in his room). Could we grow any vegetables? Thank you for any suggestions.
Get the Jiffy peat pack system. It's about 5.99. You can start the vegetable garden indoors and transplant to bigger pots. The window sill will be fine for a lot of vegetables.
Q:My son recently began sleeping through the night (or at least waking up, but not to eat). But I leak alot while he's sleeping, I leak through the lilypadz and regular breast pads. I even tried handtowels in my sleep bra. I tried wrapping tight with an ace bandage too. This happen to anyone else? How long did this last for you? Any advice? I don't want to wake up to pump (because, I can finally get sleep... if I don't have to wake up to change my shirt twice a night).PS highly amused that Y! wanted to put this in home garden: DIY
I dealt with this problem as well. Lol, hand towels in the bra, I stuffed my sports bra with those as well, I woke up a sopping mess. Anyway, your body will begin to adjust, so heres what you can do, either wait until your milk adjusts or..... and this is what I did. I woke up at 3 in the morning and went and pumped for a good 20 minutes and took the pressure off the top. Yes, it sucks that when your baby is finally sleeping through the night you still have to get up, but it beat changing my sheets each morning and being soaked, and it also keep my supply going strong. The really nice thing was sometimes my husband would get up in the morning and feed my son the pumped milk before he went to work so I could sleep in a little. When I didn't use the expressed milk, I would freeze it. The frozen milk was great when my milked started drying up when my son started refusing the breast, I was still able to give him breast milk for 3 extra weeks with my stored milk!
Q:How to use urea in home gardening?
It's a source of nitrogen. If you've purchased a bag of it at a garden center, use it as instructed on the bag (mixing x cups or pounds into the soil per square foot). Urine is the source of urea, and if you have a toddler, diluting the potty chair's contents 10 to 1 with water, you can use if as a liquid fertilizer that is dilute enough that it won't burn your plants. I don't recommend using diluted urine for indoor plants.

How much do you charge to bathe a small dog?
Q:I'm moving into my first apartment at college soon, and I've been trying to find cool wall decor and decorative accessories for the apartment that isn't too expensive. I love animal prints. Any ideas where I can look online?
