Q:carpet wool?
don't worry, it will stop coming out after you vacuum it several times. It's normal, it's just the way wool carpeting is. If you are living in a cool climate in the winter, then expect to get shocked (throw sparks) from walking on that carpeting as there will be static buildup..
Q:fur coats and rugs?
I have never heard of a Girraffe coat or rug or a Polar Bear coat however, to find a Polar Bear Rug now may be very difficult and expensive but I would try the yellow pages in my community and call all the furriers listed especially if they sell Fur skins. You could even try the fur auctions such as the North Bay Fur Auction. Sorry I don't have a number.
Q:good loom for rugs and placemats?
I didn't go to your links, but Schacht looms are some of the best made. I would really like to have a 2- harness Schacht to make rugs with! I have a 4-harness LeClerc and it is heavy enough to do what I want all the way from rugs to fine fabrics. I suggest you get some of those link together mats to put under your loom to prevent walking and to dampen the banging we get when making rugs!! Dust vacs work well to get up the lint we make. Enjoy your new loom as much as I enjoy my antique LeClerc! (it has a 4 digit serial number!)
Q:I want to buy area rugs?details please.?
Custom woven rugs. I found this place when visiting in New Orleans. I saw Sir Anthony Hopkins in there and was amazed by what they do. Their rugs are not exactly cheap but are labors of love. I never knew what it took to make a rug like the ones they offer. Custom color combinations and a variety of dimensions. They ship too.
Q:hi i want some good advice on horse rugs and how many you atually need/?
I actually have a fifteen.2 hh fat horse, as around as a pumpkin! he's in lots of circumstances a 60 rug yet can greater healthy right into a 59! he's likewise a cob! in case you may have a pair of rugs, id have the backside one or 2 as a 59 and the right ones as 60. additionally i rekon he could be a cob. yet i dont think of there is plenty distinction in a 5'9and a 6'0, so in case you theory he would fill out or get rounder as quickly as you get him than you may properly be greater useful in basic terms going with 6'0!
Q:How do you keep an area rug from shedding?
Most rugs shed, but they do get significantly better over time. You just have to stick with it. Vacuum it regularly to tease out the bits of fluff that are ready to go. I myself got a new rug on Saturday, but it sounds like the next 6-12 months will be hell...!
Q:what is a penny rug?
It is a type of applique made from felted wool. A penny rug is a folk art style of decorative appliqué, traditionally made from felted wool. Primitive shapes were cut out and sewn onto a wool background using an embroidery blanket stitch of contrasting colors. Dating from the mid-19th century to the early 20th century, a penny rug was not used on the floor, but instead as decorative table coverings or wall hangings. This folk art appliqué was often finished with a tongue-shaped border. Coins such as pennies were used as templates for the circle shapes which were layered onto the bordering tongues. Hence the name penny rug.
Q:how do i get a pee stain out of a natural dyed rug?
It might be possible however do not use a water based cleaning Solution. Water will make the dyes bleed. There are cleaning solutions that are considered mineral spirit based or chlorinated solvents. The non-water based solutions should only be used by certified cleaning technicians because of the nature of the chemicals. My recommendation, which may be the simplest solution, is to take it to a dry cleaner. They are licensed to use chlorinated solvents and will not harm your rug. Make sure to tell them the nature of the rug and the stain.
Q:How to install carpet over wood?
You can loose lay a carpet over the wood but w/o a special mat under the carpet it will still ruin the wood. In your case your best off to invest in some area rugs and still use this mat that allows the wood to breathe and keeps the rug from bunching and slipping. When you move your area rug goes with you. Loose lay carpet , you can have the edges bound to keep it from fraying.but this special mat is still needed to keep the rough action back from scratching the wood and to not stain it. Never use a double sided tape to hold carpet or rugs in place, it leaves a residue that is hard to remove and may stain the wood too. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q:In the old days, how did they clean carpets?
They used brush as a carpet cleaner. I saw it once in the movie I forgot the tittle it was an epic movie. It is like a dog brush but the strands are different than the normal brush.
