Limited Product Warranty
Under normal application, installation, use and service conditions, if MODULES fail to conform to this limited product warranty due to defects in material or workmanship, then for a period ending 12 years from date of sale as shown in the invoice or Contract issued by CNBM SOLAR. CNBM SOLAR will, at its option, either repair or replace or refund the purchase price as paid by the client for these defective MODULES. The repair or replacement or refund remedy shall be the sole and exclusive remedy provided under the “Limited Product Warranty” and shall not extend beyond the 12 years period set forth herein. It will be performed directly to the direct client only. This “Limited Product Warranty” does not warrant a specific power output, which shall be exclusively covered under “Limited Peak Power Warranty” as follows.

- Q:Do solar panels require a battery for energy storage?
- No, solar panels do not necessarily require a battery for energy storage. While batteries can be used to store excess energy generated by solar panels for later use, it is not a mandatory component. Solar panels can also directly feed the generated electricity into the grid or be used to power devices in real-time, without the need for a battery.

- I also doubt your claim of 4% efficiency. That strength solar panel is brand new technology (this year) and is not available in retail sizes yet. You probably got duped by some false marketing... In any case; even assuming you had a 4% solar panel, there are too many things for us to give you an accurate assessment of the power production. Clouds, location on earth, season, angle of the solar panel; these are all things we need to know to calculate it. Odds are it should have the average rate it produces electricity written on the back panel or with the instructions that came with it. I know of no solar panel retailers that do not also offer free installation. You should get your money back or get that free installation (and then you never have to worry about how much power it has, it just gets you what it can).
- Q:Me and my friend have made our own functional solar panels for considerably less than retail prices and we are thinking about selling them. Are there any legal issues regarding this? Would I need any special licenses or anything? Would using brand name components or parts in the panels make any difference legally? I want to know before I just go out and start doing it. Thanks!
- Would those be heating panels, or electric panels? If the latter, you would not have any safety certifications (I assume), so the panels would be illegal to use for a serious, grid-tied system. You would need to make this clear to your customers, that they could only connect to stand-alone systems. If this is in the US, there is always some finite danger of lawsuits if your product is defective. If the water heater leaks or blows up on someone's roof, you might have to go to court to defend yourselves. Even if you disclaim all warranties, in some states, if you sell something as a water heater then it has to heat water reasonably, and also not be hazardous. In other words, fit for its purpose. Check your local laws.
- Q:I'm making a model of a solar photovoltaic tower for a school project. I need a way to store energy, and we thought about using capacitors (mainly because of our somewhat limited funding). The tower will have a small photovoltaic panel (around the size of a laptop keyboard with number pad) and some (around 50) quot;heliostats(just the mirrors, no moving parts). What kind of capacitors should i use? and would a capacitor bank be better? i am getting confused with all those uF, pF and can't see the difference.Thanx in advance
- You need a rechargeable battery.Those uF you are talking about are Micro farads and pf are a million times smaller,they are less than gnat-bites compared to any rechargeable battery.You can get metal/metal hydride storage batteries (about .4v)and connect them in series if the voltage you generate is greater than that or in parallel if voltage is lower.Hard to advise without knowing voltage output from your design.As to getting hold of them there are so many in use you are sure to find someone who will lend a few (I would anyway!).
- Q:Do I just run the wire from the panel into the charge controller and then to the battery AND can I simultaneously draw energy from the battery while it is being charged by the panel?Is it as simple as hooking it up like that?
- The solar panel wires go to the charge controller. The charge controller wires go to the battery. You can also run wires from battery to a load ONLY IF it is DC load. If any AC loads, then you need a inverter to change dc to ac.

- They're called...Electric Testers, or Voltage Testers, or whatnot, they don't really have a special name in my experience. Just go to your local hardware store and buy one.
