Q:We have brand new beber carpet and our old vacuum cleaner doesn't seem to like it. We need a new one but was wondering what type to get. There is just two of us living in the home but we do have an inside dog that likes to shed so we need something that will get all his hair up. Any suggestions?: ,My wife and I have an inside dog and an inside long hairedcat ,we were having the same problem, we went through 4 or 5 vacuums before we bought a dyson absolute,and that was it.We also have the same kind of carpet and it just glides over it,and picks up pet like you wouldn't beleive.hope this helps.

Q:I've had my Dirt Devil bagless for only a few years. It was running just fine before we moved to our new house. Our new house has berber carpet. My vacuum does not move well on this type of carpet with a lot of dragging. What is a smooth flowing vacuum for very low carpet?: I recently purchased the Dyson Animal. I was shocked at how much dirt that this thing picked up. There are no bags, just a canister that you empty. It is pricey, but you will be impressed on how well it does.

Q:Are there any products that work well, e.g. cleaners, mops, wet/dry vacuum-mops?: I was wondering the answere to the same question not too long ago. I too have laminante flooring and I asked the installers what to clean it with? They reccomended good old windex. It cleans well, leaves no streaks and dries very fast!! you don't want the floors to get too wet or they'll get ruined. There are more expensive cleaners that do the same job, but key word there expensive, they have the same basic ingridents as windex!! I use it about once every 2-3 weeks and my floors never looked better!! I spray a thin layer then mop it up with a wide head terry cloth microfiber removable mop, i got from home depot that cuts the cleaning time in half because of how large it is. try this out and let me know how it works!! Q:Do they actually increase the amount of suction or are they simply a marketing ploy we have all fallen victim to?: We bought a Dyson and that sucker works! Never lose suction and removes dirt better than any other vacuum we have compared it to.

Q:thinking of buying an LG compressor vaccum cleaner, does anyone have reveiws of this product?: Vacuum cleaners are very cheap at the moment and L G have a very good name in lots of products. We have always stuck to Hoover and use one called The One,good for picking animal hairs up.

Q:So I have heard tales of cats or dogs getting eviscerated(gutted) by a vacuum cleaner. Now personally I do not believe this, I am just wondering if there is any science or knowledge to back this legend up.: No, I doubt it would even suck in the smallest cat or dog. Maybe an insect, but NO, not a cat OR dog. Dogs and cats sometimes dislike vacuum cleaners. Please do not do this if you do it. If you do, you are absolutely cruel to animals. Just saying. Q:I am lokoing for some suggestions on the best vacuums for a house with a dog that sheds CONSTANTLY. The fur keeps clogging my upright, so I think I am going to go with a canister vac, however, I do not want to spend a lot of money. Any thoughts.: I have a Eureka upright, Boss bagless upright (with hose attachments). I have 4 kids and an indoor allergy bearing, super shedding dog. That vacuum has been a really good vacuum and when it dies I will get another Eureka. Walmart has Eureka, and I am sure I paid under $100 for mine. I will say I have a Bissell carpet cleaner that I also like. One brand I have never had good luck with is Dirt Devil.
