- Q:the power cable is in 2 parts, one from the xbox to a box, from the box to the wallthat box has an led light. when the xbox is on, it should turn green, when the xbox is off it should turn orange. my led light is turning red instead of orange and green.its not red ring of death, or 4 red rings, i know this because my xbox wont even power up because the box in the power cable will not send power to my xbox. im so confused...plz help

- Q:hi can some 1 help me? my problem is my harddrive just stops working its happend twice now.so i unpluged the sata power lead from the hard drive and from the power supply plugged it all back in and worked fine for months and today it happend again so i did the same thing and all is good again.so could my lead be dodgey or could it be my harddrive.if it is my lead where can i buy a proper multi sata power from thanx.
- first of all do you have another sata power connector you can plug into the hard drive? if you do then try that. or do you have a spare sata drive you can plug into the current power adaptor? if the drive functions correctly from the change in power adapters or the spare drive has issues your power supply may be bad. otherwise you may want to contact the manufacture of the hard drive and do a warranty replacement. or just buy a new hard drive. chances are your hard drive is going to fail on you. either that or make sure the connection is secure and don't hit your pc Note if your optical drive is sata as well swap the connections from drive to drive and see if your disk drive acts up instead of your hard drive.

- Before okorder /... Replacing the Power supply is pretty straight forward.... just undo the screws at the back of the casing, and it slips out from inside. Put the new one where you took the old one out, and swap the leads over (matching like for like). One thing I have noticed both times I've fitted a Power Supply is that the screw holes in the back of the Power Supply never, ever line-up properly with the screw holes for it in the back of the PC Casing........ found the trick to doing it is to loose fit the screws first (might need to go in at an angle), then tighten them all up and it'll line up properly like it's supposed to.

If we assume the the resistance, R of the cable is constant, then a 10,000 reduction in power (power/10,000) gives P/10,000 = I^2 x R I^2 = Power/10, 000R I = square root of [const x 10,000] I = 100. Then using power = voltage x current reducing the current by 100 means increasing the voltage by 100 to keep the power the same.

- for low end cards, you dont need an additional 6 pin or 8 pin power cable for it. It is only for mid range and high range cards that need additional cable for it. For GT 520, you don't need it.
