Q:solar panel for 2 batteries(2 V)?
Taken at face value, it would take about 55 hours to re-charge a dead flat battery. However, you don't get 24hrs/day sunlight. Even worse, the output from a panel is only maximum when the sun is at 90 degrees to the surface. Let's assume you can find some way to track the sun. No battery should be allowed to discharge below about 50% so we can halve the recharge time. I would say about 4 days.

Theoretically, for every hour that bright, direct sun shines on the panel, 200 watt-hours (0.2 kWh) of energy will be produced. In practice, the answer depends on temperature, orientation of the panel, and how many hours of sun are hitting it, including clouds and seasons. This varies tremendously by geographic location. In my region of California, such a panel will produce about 33 kWh a month on average - more in summer, less in winter.
Q:Feedback on Solar Panels?
I have been totally solar for 4 years with the occasional use of a generator on rainy days which was only 6 hours last year. Understand that I live full time in an RV and power usage is much less than a conventional home. I do not have the need for air condition because I move with the climate. I have a propane refrigerator, stove, furnace and water heater. My solar system consist of 2 Kyocera Panels that produce 7.5 amps 7.5 volts DC and 35 Watts each a Blue Sky Energy 2000E Booster controller/charger with 4 Interstate 2200 6 Volt Golf Cart Batteries with a total of 450 amp hour storage and a 500 Watt Inverter. Kyocera gives the most bang for the buck. Total Cost: 2,00.00 Professionally Installed. This system provides more than an ample supply of AC and DC power and has paid for itself three fold.
Q:what is the best solar panels to use on my new house(tube or flat)?
My solar thermal installation uses a 30-tube NAVITRON panel. This has an effective area of 2m2 and produces enough hot water in summer for 3 showers and plenty of washing up! I estimate that, in it's first year, it has saved me about £60 in gas. The panels and prices are shown in the attached link. Mine was fitted by a professional installer for £2500, including a huge, new cylinder (dual coil) to store the extra hot water. Flat panels are much less efficient than vacuum tube collectors. While flat panels are frequently cheaper, these Navitron panels are such good value that I think buying inferior, flat panels would be a false economy.
Q:is it feasible to create a solar panel that could harness more of the suns energy than what they can now?
No, it's not possible to make solar panels that suck in photons like a magnet. In current physics, the only way to do that would be to make a near-black-hole-like structure that sucks photons in due to its high gravity. Not only would that be prohibitively expensive and currently technologically impossible, it would destroy its surrounding area. Edit: idlenesss - My whole point is that increasing the photons-per-area is currently impossible, and that's what the question was about.
Q:is it worth it to install solar panels?
Solar is mroe expensive than just about every other form of generation for a centralized plant, but can still be cost-effective for a consumer living in the right place. This is because while a coal-fired plant may produce electricity for 2-3 cents per kWh, by the time it's marked up to retail, distributed, and taxed to get to a residence, it may be 5 cents per kWh - a figure which solar can match in many places.

Sailboats typically run on wind; hence, Sailboat. I haven't read your article on it though; but, I would think that the solar power would be for the battery powered stuff and possibly a little motor for it. For a car... There are competitions, right now for solar cars. Only they are very light and don't really go that fast. The panels tend to be large and weight a bit more than one would think. I don't understand why they can't simply make a car generate power simply by the rotation of the wheels itself. They could take a hybrid, take out the gasoline portion and it would simply recharge the batteries by the friction of the turning wheels.
Q:New Prius; Solar panles a good design?
The solar panel option is for running a ventilation system while the Prius is parked outdoors, so the sun won't heat up the interior. Personally I think it's a good idea, especially if your car has leather seats-- There is nothing more unpleasant than getting into a car with leather seats that has been sitting in the sun for hours with the windows closed. Many a people in shorts have their thighs scalded on the leather seats that way. The solar panels are a luxury option, not standard equipment on the Prius. I think luxury cars like Mercedes and Cadillacs with leather interiors can use a system like that.
